    Not much of a discount.
For example Hoyts Eastland is $1.50 off with this compared to Optus Perks.
Save more money by choosing to dine elsewhere.

    • +2

The one thing I'll say about Optus Perks though is that if you don't book early, the allocation is often gone.

    • +1

Not everyone is optus perk. This is for everyone.
Its like if you got the $99 airpods on ebay then start shit posting when someone puts up a $150 airpods deal.

      • Kinda, but it's so easy to get access to Optus Perks.

  • +1

last time this was on it was $10 for movie ticket per burger purchase at my local grilld.
melb central always has a burger beer bundle deal, so it’s a better deal from that store if extracting max value.

  • Not bad, $25 at broadway

  • +4

The cinemas have become damn expensive… consumers are now slugged with an "online booking fee", even when buying through Optus/Telstra perks!

    • Has never been a booking fee on Telstra thanks

      • there is for 3D, $1.50.

        • +1

Is that a booking fee or just the 3D premium

          • +1

            @captaincabinets: sure I've seen a booking fee somewhere, weren't the tickets $5 sometimes? so $5 base, 3D $1.50 + $1 booking fee?

  • Cineplex $6.50 - $8.50 no burger required

    • Just looking for a Sydney one….

      • Looks like QLD only.

  • You can't use Saturday arvos. Can't see an expiry date.

    • Got mine already for $8.90. Says expiry July 31st 2020 which is pretty good. Not sure if it'll be the same everywhere as the date has been stamped on. Worth asking before you buy the burgers.

  • I pay $4.50 for my tickets. No hipster burger needed :)

    • How?

    • +1

I pay only 2 bucks for my tickets! Event group staff benefits!

      • Awesome mate.

      • Used to be free in the past…

  • Where is Rouse Hill Town Centre Reading Cinema in this deal? grrrr

    • +2

What? What's age got to do with enjoying a burger?

      • -1

For anyone conducting Mystery shopping, they only target 25-45, as shoppers they will accept. When I enquired with the company, they said that that was their target age group, as that is the trendy people with money.

        • Are you just salty they wouldn't give you free burgers as part of a mystery shopper assignment…

    • +5

Wait, there's a target age for burgers?

I seriously hope it keeps moving so I remain in the band…

      • Hahaha, I can just imagine some kind of soup burger Nazi demanding to see your ID, and kicking you out of the burger shop if you're not their allowed age range.

    • They want your business just as much as anyone between those ages

    • +1

      How so?

        • So because you didnt become a mystery shopper?

    • +1

Probably outside the movie goers age range as well

  • Unfortunately there is nothing good in the cinemas atm

    • +1

Midsommar is FANTASTIC. Highly recommend it.

      • Sounds like a very typical horror flick. What makes it Fantastic? Asking genuinely.

        • Compared to Hereditary which I only saw yesterday, it’s so much better.

It’s a real gasp in the cinema kinda movie. I loved the ending.

          • @chookymcchook: Glad you enjoyed it.

I'll wait till it's out on DVD if I watch. Might be that it's just not my kind of film. Might be that i've seen too many horror films in my middle age grumpy life ;-) I'd be more interested in a documentary on real cult stupidity, but that's just me.

Anyway thanks for the recommendation. Genuinely appreciate it.

            • @syousef: If it’s any consolation I’m in my 30s and hate horror films. This was way different.

            • @syousef: More psychological thriller than horror. No reliance on jump scares, very little gore, not really a scary atmosphere. Still very adult in content and visuals, but not what I would call a traditional scary movie.

              • @ozbjunkie: yeah i hate jump scares, real horror actually requires skill which is hard to find in movies. Don't know about the movie though looks very disturbing…

                • @RetroMetro: My friend was explaining to me that's it's a commentary on the nature of trauma and pathways to healing. Apparently there's lots of symbolism, particularly the use of colour and certain shapes (yellow, pyramids). I didn't really get all that, I watch movies like a simpleton, I don't really read into things or look for cultural or historical allusions.

Most of the film I was just thinking how trippy it would be to eat mushies somewhere the sun never sets.

    • The new Tarantino is pretty good.

      • I’ve heard it’s shit - but seeing it next week to decide :)

  • Cant find the expiry date of the offer.

BTW when's the Polished Man starting this year??

    • I don't think Grill'd is a part of Polished man this year…

      • Oh no…where did u hear tat news?

  • So nothing to wash it down or sides? Pretty much a $15 burger.

  • Has Australia reached peak burger?
