saw these at Chadstone also
Are these spicy? Im sick of getting spicy stuff in aus thats not even spicy. Like nando or anything spicy from maccas.
these are proper spicy afaik.
Watch the youtube videos of people suffering from this.
These are legit
goodluck my friend, these will send your (profanity) to the toilet
It depends. If Nando's XX Hot (not the Extra Hot) is not spicy enough for you then I doubt this will be. Personally, I find this good spicy, but not blow-my-socks-off spicy. For that I go to certain Thai restaurant that I know uses some liquid obtained direct from satan's mistress
@John: So I just bought some of these (the 2x spicy) to try after everyone talking about the spice level. I LOVE spicy food so I was eager to give these a try. I agree with John, these are "good spicy"… at least for anyone who enjoys spicy food and has trouble getting local restaurants to give you enough spice.
But it's not at the level that has me (or most spicy food lovers) struggling with it.
No idea why you got down voted.
I ate mine about 10 mins ago and it has left a nice heat tingle on my lips. Love them! Thanks OP, I had no idea about these :)
EDIT: Also John, which Thai restaurant is this? Are you in VIC? I love some good Thai
EDIT2: NM, you're in Perth it looks like :(
@John: I find Nandos Extra Hot basting on chicken is not that hot. But if you use the Extra Hot sauce and pour it onto your chips, it is a lot hotter than chicken basting.
Usually the big woolies stores.
never seen one at Big W
Why all the -ve's? That wasn't too bad…
Website is good for checking in store stock.
They do that now?
I thought inputting postcode just serves Delivery purposes.
Got 2X from St. Albans woolies.
I just went to buy some.
They're not in the "Noodle" aisle with all the English names.
They're in the "Asian/international" foods aisle.
On sandy bay some Chinese girl just took 20 big boxes of them (8 of them in each boxes )
Asians loves a bargain
Is that why you are in Ozbargain?
@udem113: My GF nickname.
Or she runs an Asian grocery.
Surely supplier prices would be cheaper than this
@Kingfield: often times they are not. I used to work in restaurants and so-called wholesalers would often sell for very close to what you could get at coles/woolworths. When deals are 50% off you can't beat it. They have the buying power.
@Joxer: Fair enough, I guess you learn something new every day!
@Kingfield: Upvoted you for asking a good Q.
in China, it's cheaper mate. XD
@nightelves: With baby formula, they're buying Australian brands. They have this exact brand of ramen in China.
Even if they were the same brand, the huge footprint needed to make such a small profit on each packet of ramen isn't really worth the effort and transport costs.
How do you know she was Chinese?
I speak Chinese, I understand mandarin
The fact that she spoke Mandarin is neither here nor there. Mandarin is the official language of Taiwan and one of the four official languages of Singapore.
@strangeloops66: I know accent, people speak differently, I even know they are from
South China ( excluding Taiwan )
@Kawaii: She could be a naturalised Australian.
@strangeloops66: She was the international student I saw from my university, I knew her, okay?
@Kawaii: Plot twist
@Kawaii: She could be her Australian born and raised twin separated from birth
@johnwinkle: Do you know what is an international student?
@johnwinkle: How do you know she wasn't born in Singapore then lived in Taiwan?
@Kawaii: Lol that shut that guy up
@Bryanalves: it's called 杠精 in Chinese.
@Bryanalves: Me? Nah.
@Kawaii: Then why the heck didn't you say that instead of some crap about her speaking Mandarin and you understanding it and then more crap about distinguishing accents?
@strangeloops66: fine
@strangeloops66: You just don't get it. How do you know a native English speaker is from a certain country or region?
She was the international student I saw from my university, I knew her, okay?
Can we keep interrogating you for fun?
@capslock janitor: keep going
@strangeloops66: Legit just imagined Marhsall from How i met your mother be like, 'LAWYERED!'.
Maybe she's saving up for the White Day (Chinese valentine's day) sales again so she plans on living on ramen to save.
Daigou
Super hot
Nah. I like the 2x hot variety waaaay better.
2x spicy version also $4.50, I got one of both even though last time I couldn't finish the 2x version.
you buy the 2x hot so u can make bets at work for who will be 'The One' XD, its like Battle Royale for workmates :D
Do they actually taste good though? Often I find the super hot ones taste like crap. Better off buying a good tasting one like shin ramyun and adding chilli yourself
Yes they taste excellent aside from your mouth on fire
Yeah they weren't joking about the hot.
I can handle most noodles that claim to be hot, but I only use half a sachet or less and it's still burning my tongue.
Then there are people like me that add trinidad scorpians nd ghost chillies by the handful to our food 😂😂😂
The next morning you will discover the Ring Of Fire.
These make an awesome stir fry noodle.
Just the one?
It is very long
That's what he said but that's not what she said.
It's crazy crazy hot.
I am from a place that people love spicy food and I'm one of the top i think
i still couldn't stant this kind of hot.
Serious? This is considered fine but not that hot! Come on
Seriously? … I have to add more chilly
Nah, serve it hot man!
Buenos dias, señor
It's hot! Warning XD
Oops I bought the 2x spicy version a few hours ago….
I never finished a bottle of milk that fast in a long time XD
I assume eating lava feels like eating 2x spicy one. They should make bundle honestly. Pack of 2x spicy, bottle of 2l milk, pack of 3ply toilet paper. That's the only way to sell them.
This thread came too late.
I opened up a 2X … and I've spent 45 minutes in the toilet.
Hazardous to one's behind.
Use this to cleanse your bowels when you get food poisoning.
Other Samyang ramen varieties are also on sale at the same price. They have some less spicy ones for those who can't handle the hot chicken ramen.
I can't handle the truth
No truth-handler, you!
which flavours? do you have any links to the product item?
Just went to Woolies (Abbotsford, Vic)
Original flavour sold out, only 2x left.
Carbonara (by far the best flavour imo) was not on sale.
What's wrong with Woolies website nowadays?
Not everything they sell instore is shown online.
Bad touch.
Too much sugar, not enough chilli.
How much C12H22O11?
Tastes good and not spicy when you eat it at all in my opinion, instead, it just gives you the numbing effect after consumption.
It's so spicy that it's self-numbing you to the pain?
So everyone saying these are super spicy. I dont like spicy food. I always choose mild when given the option lol. Does this spicy stuff come in a separate sachet and therefore you can still have some tasty (y’know the usual high amounts of sodium etc) noodles and just ignore the hot and spicy sachet?
Any Woolworths in particular? I've never seen these at any Woolworths :(
