  • few question before people jump in with same question:
    - does it have HDMI port?
    - Can you upgrade RAM to 16gig?

    • +3

NO it does not have hdmi. Same answer as every … single … time.
Use a DP to hdmi cable.

      • +14

How bout now. Does it have a HMDI port now?

        • +9

          Mine grew one in July….

          • @jv: evolution is truly amazing isn't it.

      • -1

        It's a valid question
Does it have displayport? Or did you mean dvi to hdmi

        • Does it have displayport?

          Yes, two…

          • @jv: that is better then hdmi

            • @asa79: Not if your monitor only has HDMI.

              • @ssquid: then you just buy a Displayport to HDMI cable. Same price as HDMI to HDMI. You're going to need a cable anyway…

              • @ssquid: Atleast it has audio where dvi doesnt

                • @asa79: If only there was some other way to get audio out of a PC…

    • +1

I think the cable cost me about $8 at MSY. Running it on 2 monitors.

  • By the look of the rear of it NO Hdmi hopefully I'm wrong otherwise good price I think.but if no hdmi no deal for me.

  • is this better than the 9020?

is it same size case as well?

    • is this better than the 9020?

      No

      Get the 9020.

I'm getting issues with the graphics drivers every time Windows does a major update. It takes months before they patch it.

      • why?

is the i7 not better than the i5?

        • +1

This has happened twice now after windows updates.

          issues with the graphics driver

          • +1

@jv: What’s the graphics driver have to do with issues with your car? Go see a mechanic!

        • Integrated graphics improves with the generations, much more than cpu speed.

      • How about 2090?

    • +1

      Is this better than 90210?

      • Dylon thinks so…

  • +2

I think the Techfast PC's have got these beat these days.

    • Depends if you just need a browsing/htpc box, if so this is pretty hard to go past. If you want to do any gaming at all then yeah I agree, Techfast hands down.

    • What are Techfast PC's ??

    • At this price they do

I’ve seen 9020s with 8gb ram and 128gb ssd for under $150 in recent sales that are bargains

These are just somewhat reasonably priced. Not what I’d call a bargain

    • The Techfast has advantage of big case to take gaming cards.

Disadvantages are big case, noisier, more power consumption, and no Windows included.
I was going to put the last one as an advantage, but not for playing games.

    • They're aimed at cheap gaming, these are ex-office PCs for work or facebooking.

  • What is the best graphics card that will fit the 9020 Optiplex? Tossing up getting one as a cheapie gaming set up.

    • Every time. The same question. Every god damn time.

    • Smash in low profile single slot 1030/1050 2gb or 4gb and go

  • Doesn't seem to be much between the Dell 9010 and 7010.

Only thing i can find that comes close is this, but only if you pass on the HDD and buy an SSD.

So the 7010 option looks ok - not so much the second 9020 in my view.

    • is the spec of this pc better then 9020?

      • +1

The 9020 will have an updated case/graphics etc, but the i7-3770 is fatter than the i5-4570 (however both are 22nm).

BTW i'm not an expert, i just sound authoritative.

  • any discount if picking up?

    • +1

Depends on who do you pickup..

      • the sexy lady store manager ofc :)

  • Serious question… Can these run Minecraft Java Edition if I stick Graphics Card in? Also which GFX Card would anyone recommend? My kids keep bugging me a for gaming PC and seeing if this will do the Job?

    • +1

GTX 1050 ti is currently the most powerful low profile graphics card. Costs around $150 on a good deal and gets power from the express-port. Not sure about ventilation though.

    • By the time you buy a GPU, you've spent $400 on one of these. For not much more you can get a new computer from Techfast.

18 months ago these were a good and fine deal but not really any more.

      • But for non-gamers they're fine…

    • Neither. Get a 9020.

  • Is it easy enough to transfer everything in this machine (except the PSU and case) into a different case with larger PSU (so I can install a proper GFX card)?
