You’ve offered this (or similar) ‘deal’ five times in the last two months.
And if the comments in those posts are anything to go by, the beans are of very poor quality. I’ll pass.

• It's not poor quality but not the best either.
It's really only worth it when the 1/2 price deal is on.

Hi Miq, admittedly we have a few negative comments, which we've taken on board and worked to address. Keep in mind this is across 1000's of orders, where the feedback is mostly positive.

If OzBargain customers stop upvoting and lapping up our deals, we'll stop sharing on the platform.

In your case, to negative feedback based on the opinions of others is a little unfair.

I actually really enjoyed the coffee, and was hoping for another 50% off sale.

I've been very happy with the coffee.

Hi
I want to know what awards you have won and if you can point these out. If genuine then I am happy to give this a go despite negative comments like the one above

thanks

Hi Pete, the Mocha and Fairtrade have both won awards at Sydney Royal show, details on our site.

This is all it's worth, far from amazing (but not horrible either). I hope they are at least including the roast date on the packs now following previous feedback. But for my money I will stick with Pablo and Rusty, $12 for 500 grams delivered.

I believe OP won the local school fate award .

If not OP own home award :)

I tried the Aroma bean and very happy with taste.

• Hi OP,
I'm considering ordering some Flair again…
However from your last deal in curious to know how the Best Before Date is calculated. Is it 12 mths from roasting?
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/473496#comment-7563662
If so that means beans were >1mth old before shipping.

When was/will the current batch you are selling be roasted?

• Hi Dasher, that's not how we calculate the roast date. FBA stock is managed and turned over weekly, ie today's orders will of been roasted within 7 days.

By the way, we're working on new packaging that will include a roast date. Should be live next month.

It's always a gamble trying new roasters. I bought the variety pack for $40 early this year, thinking it was pretty low risk because there were 4 different beans, I only needed 2 of them to be OK. But mocha aroma and flair ended up going straight to compost after 1-2 cups, we tried to drink more but it was just too hard, organic was the only one we managed to finish. So it was $40 for 250g of OK beans.

• Thats funny, I found two of the ones you composted to be quite nice. The remaining one and Organic were pretty ordinary to me.

• Yeah it's subjective, so I posted my experience but did not neg the deal.

I know it rocket science but I think there is demand for sample packs of different beans so customers can home into their perfect beans . Eg 7 different beans equally weighted making 1 kilo .

Currently stuck with 1 KG of Grinders from Amazon and definitely virtually only use is fit for the bin :)

To finish I know it rocket science .

Yep, too many coffee bean sellers seemingly just selling whatever cheap beans they can get hold of. Some of it tastes like they've poured International Roast & PVA glue into coffee bean molds.

A sampler is a great idea. That's if you're confident that you're beans are any good

Thank you, I bought 4 packs. Nice coffee bean. I will keep them in the freezer.

OP states that they get a few neg comments but: Keep in mind this is across 1000's of orders,
if it's thousands of orders then do you need oZbargain members to buy?

We're hard on OP deals because we get so many fantastic OP deals.

I have a monthly delivery from an ozbargain deal and the roast date is written by the OP on the kg of beans I get.

@op. How hard is that to do?

But by point is I guess that firms who are regular posters here like Manna Beans(great company) and TwoCracks coffee from Margaret River(even greater company)are supplying single origin fair trade beans at fantastic prices that better your deal even with postage.

An example for you. This months delivery for $39 was a kg of freshly roasted(within one week of delivery date) of those lovely tiny little beans from Ethiopia, the Yirgacheffe strain of arabica. spicy, sometimes nutty and a lovely aftertaste. Excellent value IMO.

Almost twice the price?

• +1

i am not sure if 12.5 per 250 g is bargain unless the bean is quite tasty. i do not think the comments here are too harsh as well. it is true with the price we have a lot of choices. some examples would be Soul origins $12 (roasted by st ali), industry bean $12.6(after on going 10% discount) and other regular posts here on ozbargain. i am not saying that your beans are bad, but i think anyone who posted here would prepare for all sorts of comments.

Bought from these guys once, got spammed by them via Amazon ever since. Please stop.
