Or a nice neighbour who don’t care reporting 😁
Don't be a dedbny downer
A bargain ain't a bargain till you factor in all costs. Works out if you already have the fence installed.
Some councils are flying drones around to spot pools without fences (or sheds without permits). So you can find yourself in trouble, even with a friendly neighbour.
Which council is this ?

Set it up inside in a spare room with a lockable door. Indoor pool. Fence problem solved.
Doors need to be self closing and hardware at anboce 1500ffl.
Can be done for <$200, if you take my original suggestion seriously.
14" (14-inch) Pool?! I think you meant 14' OP :)
Cheers, corrected to 14 foot. 4.27m.
Makes a slight change from all the 12-foot to 75-foot screens listed here regularly :-)
280$ + $999.00 postage fee? I'm good
Postage is fixed and probably should be stated as it's over 50% of the cost.
AU $127.89 Standard Postage
Cost of pool is in fact $365.04, with EbayPlus which costs extra.
Yup. No deal with that postage
Postage was $40 to Brisbane, shipped from Byron Bay so southern locations are likely priced out.
Councils don't need drones. Google Maps updates satellite images regularly enough for them to simply use that.
Regardless, the fine for having an unfenced pool hardly seems significant compared to the potential loss of the life of a child.
I have a bestway pool.
Love the pool, and its given us a couple of years of very enjoyable summers.
But the cartridge filter included in this pack is truly horrible. Useless.
Either upgrade to a pack that has a better filter, or if you're handy retrofit a proper filtration system like a Zodiac or something.
But don't think for a moment that this cartridge filter will do anything. I wasted money buying additional cartridges for it on Ebay, but after a while it became quite clear this filtration unit is well below what's required to filter the water properly. I had it running nearly 24 hours per day to try and get enough water through it, and it still wasn't enough even when water parameters were perfect. I've had pools my whole life so I'm not a newbie with them.
We moved into a new house and prior to saving up enough money for a proper setup we went for a Bestway above ground pool.
Like I said, no dramas with the pool. But I ended up retrofitting a Zodiac cartridge filter and pump. Cost more than the pool at $600, but the intention is to use it for a better pool later on. Maybe try Bestway's sand filter setup? Can't vouch for it, but its got to be better than the small cartridge filter supplied above. Not worth $10, let alone the $150 they are trying to sell it for as a separate purchase on Ebay. Spend a little more and get something better… believe me.
Yeah I went a couple of summers with the stock cartridge filters. Upgraded to a bestway sand filter last year, does a great job and can use it to vaccume.
Allow to add a pool fence.
