I bought this exact one a month ago,. It is well worth the money at $30 so $18 is a very good price. I have split a few meters of very chunky hard wood and it performed well.

    That's what chainsaws are for

+1 - that said there's always a place for a good axe BUT this is NOT one. I can only imagine the SCA listing was written by some pencil neck who's never handled an axe let alone swung one - as you'd want to be Thor or a masochist to use a 6lb block splitter to cut down a tree.

      • This gets negged???

Ok sure…..read the rules people and learn WTF you're talking about as if you think you could cut a tree down with this I'd love to see it.

2 pencil necks didn't like your post :) You're right of course, axes/splitters can be good at splitting wood or good at chopping wood but can't be good at both. Of course they can be bad at both tasks and most hardware store axes I've seen would fall into this category.

Does this one work well in the zombie apocalypse

No a samurai sword or chainsaw is better based on my left for dead experience.

      • You need fuel for chainsaws. Not this

Thanks, got 1. Out of stock in all stores near me, so purchased through supercheap ebay store and paid an extra $6 delivery, still a good price.

This is perfect for my trip into Hong Kong this week. Can use it to clear way for those protestors at the air port

    • Think about that idea again please.
