has anyone used these for beards? need to replace my trimmer soon
Too big for beard trimming in my experience
I use a similar cutter (different brand) for my beard, but I don't shape/sculpt my beard at all, just trimming it so it doesn't get too long. I use one comb for the beard, a shorter one for moustache, and no comb for neck and under the lower lip.
You could use this for keeping sideburns in shape, but for anything more detailed a smaller trimmer is required.
This is one that Wahl makes in China. From my personal experience (i've had several over the last 20 years) they just don't last. I made the investment and got one of the units made in the USA with their Powerdrive motor, much better cutting performance, and it's 10 years old and still running strong. New blade was put on ($30) after about 7 years, made the unit like new again. But this is only my experience.

Not looked at the one Costco sells to be honest, but I believe it's a US made one.
I got mine at Shaver Shop in one of their many sales they have. I have the Colour Pro model, it's US made as I said and has the Powerdrive motor in it. Much more powerful than the cheaper Chinese made ones. At the time (10 years ago) I paid about $100 but given how long it's lasted I feel it was money well spent.
