    Decent price

    • +3

      I'd say excellent price tbh

  • Is this 100% genuine?

    • +7

Sold by Amazon AU so, yes.

      • The seller has only 1 review thats 1 star? Unless im seeing a wrong thing

Edit: odd, link was taking me to the wrong seller. Seems to be correct now

        • did the same to me yesterday and i bought one lol now i will have to figure out how to get my money back LOL

      • +1

How is that an indication of it being genuine?

The plethora of fake microSD cards are also "sold and fulfilled by Amazon."

    • +1

Nope, only 99% by the looks of it.

    • +19

Wouldn't trust any of the sellers on Amazon, except Amazon themselves for this sort of stuff. Guaranteed to be fake

    • +18

Literally 1 feedback and it's negative. Come on mate.

    • +5

Third Party Seller, with little/no feedback.

    • can confirm i bought that from one of them and it was a very legit looking fake

  • +4

A really decent controller that feels well made and of high quality in your hand. For this price, I recommend its worth grabbing if you do most gaming on the Switch in docked mode. You won't go back to the silly plastic holder for the Joycons.

    Emphasis on quality.

    • I’ve been using the wired third party ones and they ain’t bad either. For $25 or whatever.

  • Does this work with the Wii-U?

    • +2

      No, it will not

      • +4

There's a missed opportunity to use "Wii not" somewhere in there

        • +2

          It' Wiill not?

    • +1

Im dying to find a new Wii U Pro controller

      • You won't without needing to pay through the nose…

      • That controller is so crap.

Having the sticks on the top instead of bottom screwed with my muscle memory big time. D-pad was also very clicky.

  • i got this yesterday for $54.99 (similar price as now its $43 + $11) https://www.amazon.com.au/Nintendo-NINTENDO-SWITCH-PRO-CNTRL…
Obviously much later delivery hmmm now i'm wondering if its genuine lol

    • +2

People have commented on this seller above. Hope it still works out for you though :/

      • lol .. damn wonder what Amazon covers returns wise …

        • +2

Between Amazon's guarantee and your credit card/paypal protection, you should be fine.

          • +2

@pwnd: In my experience, if it was a third party seller, Amazon will make you deal with them first before doing anything. But YMMV!

Looks like a fake account, but Amazon will refound your money anyway

    • People have commented saying its genuine.

      • +3

The one fulfilled by Amazon probably is. The 3rd party sellers that are super cheap, probs not.

        • +1

I am not up to speed with amazon's return policies - but i would assume if it is not genuine you could just return/get a refund after some fluffing around

          • @m0tyrider: hopefully … i did return an blue tooth earbud not sold by amazon and got a full refund after they were faulty within the 30 days which was painless n quick…. well lets see what happens :)

          • +3

            @m0tyrider: I ordered from Homake - https://www.amazon.com.au/sp?_encoding=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFu…

Probably I should have checked their Amazon rating first - the product arrived - was non-genuine, did not pair with my Switch at all - and now I have to pay out of pocket to return the damn item - and it already took way too long to arrive…

        • It's only ~$10 cheaper, wouldn't it be half the price if it were fake?

          • +4

@magic8ballgag: It'd be too obvious then!

            • @aileron: 🙄

              • @magic8ballgag: +1 on aileron. I recently bought a Nintendo Switch pro controller from a third party seller called Dorliona for $69. And it's a knockoff. Usually, these knockoffs are sold on eBay for 30 to 40 dollars cheaper than the legit ones (Pretty crazy margin if they pulled it off). Fortunately, I'm covered by the amazon return guarantee policy. And, I was able to return and get a full refund of this. However, I did delete my negative review on the seller in exchange for a faster refund process by the seller. I just can't be stuffed for this tedious process.

Also, just my two cents on why there are so many knockoffs on Amazon sold by the 3rd party sellers. I believe it's due to the seller cannot list the knockoff product on its own titles on Amazon. They have to list it under the official products' third party page - Note I'm not a seller myself, I just speculating. Because on eBay even though there are knockoffs but it's easy to identify by its title.

                • +1

@zZFreezyZz: How do you identify a knockoff for sure? Is there any obvious visual differences?

                  • @leiiv: The one I bought from Homake - https://www.amazon.com.au/sp?_encoding=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFu… - didn't have any obvious visual differences whatsoever, but didn't work at all.

                    • @beyondparadigms: Did you try returning it under a 'not working' reason? You shouldn't have to pay shipping then

                      • @aragornelessar: I'm trying to suss it out now - but Amazon have emailed the seller to ask them to refund my shipping costs. All the headache. Not worth it - just buy from Amazon Au.

                    • @beyondparadigms: yo i bought one from homake as well. The thing to check is the THX2ALL GAMERS easter egg. If you search up real vs fake you can see the difference. I got a fake from them.

                  • +1

@leiiv: I recommend you to check out this vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3W2gvEccgjI for an in-depth explanation on the differences between the real vs the fake ones. But usually, you can tell it from the packaging. Does it have the Nintendo logo on it? Does the package's title same as the legit ones? The knockoff item usually won't have the real logo on it as it will likely be deemed as a counterfeit item when they are going through the custom and get confiscated.

                    • @zZFreezyZz: I suggest also checking the cables. Nintendo always has any cables stamped "Nintendo." Fake items don't usually go that far as to have that too.

  • +1

picked up two! finally waited it out for this price. Very happy!!!

  • Bought one. Thank you! Will apply D-pad fix if it’s problematic.

  • Looking good. Would I need to buy a charging dock as well though? (Not for me).

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Nintendo-Switch-Pro-Controller-Cha…

Ps. Son usually plays Super Smash Bros. Should I be looking at this instead (more expensive though)? He plays in tournaments sometimes.

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Nintendo-Switch-Controller-Super-U…

    • +1

Not really, the battery lasts ages and it comes with a nice USB C charging cable. I'd save the money.

      • Thanks. Am looking for a Xmas present for someone who is becoming a tad particular. Nintendo gear is usually a safe bet!

    • +1

You can easily just charge with the cable included. You don't need the dock.

Also the super smash controller is the same but just different colour. It's nice but now worth another $35 in my opinion.

      • Thank you. I think I will buy this $67.75 controller.

        • I bought one. Cash Rewards wouldn't track (said if you followed link to retailer it would not track) … but all okay.

Have not purchased through Cash Rewards link or Amazon.com.au for some time now so not up with any changes happening there.

    • +2

worth pointing out/warning that literally 99.9% of tournament going pros use wired Gamecube controllers to play Smash Bros.

      • Yes he has quite a few versions of these games and controllers, but just not the Switch pro controller (asked him when he was distracted doing something elsewhere.)

Wouldn't think of him as a pro really, but he likes attending those events, especially for Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart.

    • +1

Double check if it's genuine - sellers feedback are concerning.

  • +2

Thanks OP, been wanting one for a while.

  • +1

    Thanks finally pulled the trigger

  • +2

Thanks OP. Have added it to my collection of Black Friday games and accessories.

Now back to the wait for an actual console to play it on…

    • +1

By then the super long battery life edition should be out. It's good that you haven't bought it yet.

      • +1

        I believe its already out

        • It is. Saw them in store last weekend.

  • awesome, bought one

  • +3

I bought one yesterday at $70.
Am I able to ask for the difference?

    • +2

      no harm in asking.

    • +1

I bought one about 5 days ago for the more expensive price.
Yesterday I opened a support chat through Amazon and asked them if they would refund the difference. They couldn't refund but they did apply an $8 credit to my account, so give it a go! :)

  • how is playing smash bros in this?

    It is $67.22 now.

  • What's the actual cashback for this from shopback? I'm assuming it comes under electronics etc @ 4.5%?

Debating whether I actually need one or not 🤔

    • +1

For shopback it would be under Video games, but regardless it's also 4.5% cashback for either category.

    • +1

      $2.16

  • +1

    Picked one up. Thanks OP!

  • +1

i have heard bad things about its d-pad, being inacurrate and diagonalling too easily. Sometimes left and right get pressed at the same time.

Can anyone who uses the d-pad a lot share their experiences?

  • I purchased through my mobile phone, used link above, and it only said "Amazon Commercial Services" for $67.75. Can I safely assume this is genuine then?

    • +2

It would say that no matter who you bought it from. But the above link should be genuine.

      • Thank you.

      • Ours arrived on Friday. From everything I checked over it very much appears to be the real deal Nintendo.

Only time I didn't buy real Nintendo was years ago when the old Game Cube controllers were out of stock.

  • Been in two minds. Kept thinking about buying one but it's only a small saving according to their usual price.

    You Save: $6.92 (9%)

I keep hoping the price jumps back up so that I missed it and don't have to. But if it's a less than $7 saving, maybe it will be even cheaper later?

    • It may be cheaper later - depends whether you are buying to use it now or later - it's been on sale for closer to 60 before.

      Still. A great controller.

      • Is the d-pad reliable? Or is it awful like the xbox 360's?

        • I couldn't tell you - I hardly use the d-pad!

          • @beyondparadigms: do you use the stick for 2D games like side scrollers and fighting games?

  • The one sold by amazon au seems to be out. All the ones that are being bought now are by marketplace sellers from what i can see.

    • Looks to be back in stock now
