    I'd rather $200 off a 3a than $400 off a 3. Hopefully more discounts aren't far away with the Pixel 4 coming

    • In the UK the official price of the 3a has been dropped a bit. Although it was a bit more expensive there to start with, with the exchange rate conversion. Hopefully a corresponding drop will hit here soon - everywhere is still selling it at RRP, there is no competition it seems!

Maybe put the price in the title and description?

  • Harvey recent deals are the best, $798 + Google Home Max!

    • Yep the only way you should buy a pixel 3 right now. Otherwise 3a range.

    • Do you have a link? I cannot find it on HN website

pixel is overprice although the cam is good. i miss those Nexus days.

    • Keep in mind it's the most basic Android phone with the most basic camera setup. No optical zoom, no macro, no wide angle. Also still very expensive at this price

On the flip side though, Amazing camera, unlimited photos storage, first with software updates and guaranteed security updates for 3 years. Too bad their hardware doesn't stack up to the test of time.

        • Anyone can get unlimited photos, being first isn't always the best thing and it's not like they get good updates anyway. The most basic camera is great, but IMO not that much better than others, and missing core features so really only average for me. I went from p3xl to s10 and was a huge jump up

          • @onlinepred: Fair enough. Im personally less concerned about having a multitude of options in the camera, and more about being able to take a high quality picture quickly without having to fuss about or worry about lighting conditions etc. With my Nexus devices, I never really had any issues with software updates causing further bugs or performance degradation, not sure about the Pixel line, as I am likely going to end up getting a Pixel 4XL this year so it will be my first experience with one. Here's hoping Google get their game together and deliver a quality device at the right price point.

            • @Trishool: Yep hopefully. I came from pixel xl, p2xl, p3xl. Mich prefer camera on s10, so much more flexible. Turn off scene optimizer and the photos come out really great.

Pixels have had loads of breaking issues through updates. Anyway, here's hoping p4 will be somehow different.

Nokia Android One phones have filled the gap left by Nexus, although I cannot find a replacement for my Pixel C.

    • Oh god I wish they still had a nexus range without all the crap of the new phones and the price.

Why does everyone have to follow apple with their ridiculous pricing?

    (Not Pink Only)

    What exactly does that mean?

    • Sounds like only the Not Pink colour available in that model. Pixel 3 colours:

      • Just Black
      • Clearly White
      • Not Pink
    • It is a colour "not pink"

      • Edit: beaten

So it's every colour other than pink?

        • It's any colour you want it to be except pink.
