Between $25 and $80 to unlock through Optus. $40 on eBay.

    • Unlocking may not be worth the money.
This Optus version may have the main Telstra 3G band (850MHz) disabled so that even when unlocked isn't really suitable for making or receiving calls with a Telstra sim.

Edit: it may not be Optus Network Optimised if the 3G 850 band is still enabled as listed on the Optus site.

      • Man, not only are they the most expensive to unlock, they also gimp the crap out of the phone.

Optimised for the Optus Network usually means competitors bands are disabled rendering the phone next to useless on Telstra even when unlocked.

If Optimised for the Optus network they sometimes don't bother locking them.

Edit: it may not be Optus Network Optimised if the 3G 850 band is still enabled as listed on the Optus site.

  • This has been this price for weeks and there's no stock.

  • So its locked to the optus network. But does this mean other carriers like amaysim will or will not work on the handset due to them actually using the optus network anyway?

    • +1

      Yes.

      • +1

Yes it will or will not work?
So will an Amaysim will work in this phone?
