I do, but I do have the advantage of having a gas BBQ that has a smoker box accessory designed for it.
You have to use wood chips rather than a wood chunk. Aside from the wait to get the wood smoking from wet, the next difficulty is in controlling the temperature in the bbq to ensure it keeps smoking while still keeping the food cooking low and slow.
Like BlinkyBill says, get a smoker box or fashion one yourself by wrapping the wood chips in foil and poking holes in the top of the foil packet to let the smoke out.
has anyone tried smoking meat in a gas bbq?
