Looks ok but annoying it has the air intake on the left. My Ryobi has the same intake side and constantly sucks my shorts in.

Just take your shorts/pants off before doing garden work, problem solved.

Feel the breeze. Just remember to sticky tapes anything that tangling to prevent from awkward hospital visit

    • it's designed for lefties.

  • Thanks OP - purchased both!

  • Anyone used this brand before? No delivery for me and no stock local nearest store 70km away. Im very tempted but got a mower battery ozito not long ago and 4 batteries and still to get the newer ozito trimmer but at a price of $229. This would be idea price wise but silly having a battety mower and petrol trimmer.

    • I see a store near me has both very tempted but a google has no reviews? The saber items within total tools seems expensive but never heard of them and two sellers on ebsy are selling these for $250 and $350 lol. That's only for trimmer.
If I had not got a battery ozito mower recently would have grabbed these but my head is telling me just keep the money and get the ozito trimmer yes the ozito trimmer is $229 but with having battery steel deck mower a fast charger and 4 x 4.0ah batteries makes only sense to get the ozito one. Just wish the ozito one was skin only.
But part of me wants to same $170 and grab this trimmer or over $100 if both trimmer and blower.
I already have a blower from masters store from years ago boxed and not used yet and here was me thinking of selling it lol and want to buy another.
Must resist this deal and stick to my guns ozito buy for me.

  • Thanks. Also grabbed one of each. Needed a replacment line trimmer for a while.

  • Very interested to know if anyone has used this brand or the blower in particular thinking of picking one up tomorrow

  • Anyone getting delivery charges when trying to checkout as click and collect?

EDIT: Selected click and collect again and it removed delivery charge

  • Thanks mate got the blower, to cheap to pass up.

India Company, currently under liquidation? Hence the clearance pricing?
    https://www.zaubacorp.com/company/SABER-TOOLS-LTD/L52390WB19…

    • After 41 years, 4 month in business,,, so sad..

    • I think you'll find SABER is Total Tools house-brand and has no connection with the Indian company Saber Tools other than the coincidence of a similar sounding name.

  • Can someone enlighten me about the "Full crank shaft engine" for the 26cc 2 Stroke Line Trimmer.

Does that mean it supports attachments?

I've read that in general, that the straight shaft allows attachments but the curved do not.

EDIT: On further reading, I believe the two features are not related.

  • Thanks ozbargain can't resist a bargain I have 3 blowers now echo ,stihl and saber lol.

  • **** total tools in Fyshwick. I watched this post since it went up yesterday I checked the stock at the Fyshwick store it was available for click and collect. This was yesterday afternoon I thought I would doublecheck today because it seems like every time I go to Bunnings I check the stock on the product and they don't have it. Called them up and asked about the product got told I think it's all sold out wait I think we have one on the system I'll go look. About three minutes later he comes back and says sorry blah blah blah I mention you guys should update the website then because it's available for click and collect right now at this store. He goes on to say yeah it said we had one I believe somebody was in trying to find it yesterday as well. Bunch of BS if you ask me. It's 2019 and companies can't keep track of stock.

    • My local store also allowed me to click an collect and then had no stock.

They were awesome about it and couriered it down from FNQLD the next day.

Just had to talk to their online orders department.

      • That's awesome I wish they had given me that option when I spoke to them on the phone or made a complaint through the online form. The fact that multiple people have chosen click and collect and haven't been able to get their order is pretty dodgy.

        • Why didn’t you just purchase and run the risk of worst case getting your money back? I bought click and collect and it took 2 days for the collection email - went in store and it looked as though both items had been shipped in.

          • @jj212: Because I would have ended up in the same situation others did spending my fuel my time to go to a store to be told what I paid for isn't there

  • Ordered to pick up at Auburn who today tell me theyre out of stock… Ozbargained

  • Thanks OP, picked one up today and lucky me it scanned at $49.
    Bargain!

  • Got the father's day catalog today. There's a generic 1.5hp air compressor $99 as well.

  • Purchased one today online, caved in the end but no notification to come collect, have a feeling it's sold out in store if so at least I tried but will see they better at least update or refund asap if the case.

  • Ordered yesterday (Sun), no notification for pickup, went to the store after lunch (Mon) anyway.
Took it home, unboxed and assembled, got stuck into the garden. Did the job well, much better than my 240v current trimmer.
Comes with plenty of line on the spool, and a 500ml plastic fuel mixer/container. No oil though, you'll need to have some 2stroke oil and unleaded on hand to mix and fill.

    • Wonder if it's better than homelite from bunnings? I had a cheap China branded one few years back fell apart over time to the point was not safe to use I had complained to online store who refunded and told me to keep. I just moved over to battery mower and next buy is a trimmer to go with it, but it's only available as a kit and not skin, if this is available for me to pick up then I probably use it for now and grab a battery one later.
Are total tools know for not contacting you? My store would be about 24 km away don't want to drive there to find it's not even available and if I phone they might just say it's not when is? Might give it a few days and then hit them up unless they contact before then.

  • Grabbed both a blower and trimmer, received call yesterday saying it's ready to collect, cheers OP! Now I just need a cheap/decent mower.

  • Thanks OP,
Grabbed a trimmer at the Geelong North store. Rep said they had more of both in stock.
Eager to see what the quality is like and performance over the next year.

  • Make sure you contact your local store if you plan on using click and collect to make sure they actually have stock.

I just spoke to online support via the phone and they literally confirmed that they have a bug in their website showing the wrong stock levels on the majority of products.
