Last Tefal I purchased the base has bowed in the middle.
There must have been a whole ox in the pan to make that happen :)
We use ours almost every night and never had a problem. I only replace it after food starts to stick to it after about three or four years of use. My wife has the habit of using a sharp knife while cooking to prod everything in the pan and over time the little marks start to have an impact.
I had one once that did the same as Robski7777's
And mine has never seen an induction cooktop, where I believe get much hotter than ceramic?
My experience with most reasonably thin pans is that they can bow (to the point of being impractical to use on a glass electric stove) if they get a dose of water straight after cooking. Once I made sure we stopped doing that, haven't had it happen since. It could just be luck, but it makes sense to me that it would cause strain and stress to the metal and could cause deformation
