2410

Noticed this today when I was buying Toothpaste. All Oral-B is 40% off (besides electric toothbrushes which look to be 50% off).

Cheapest I've seen the genuine heads in a long time:

Floss Action 4 Pack - $19.20

3D White 2 Pack - $10

thanks op! Just in time for my household to stock up. Can anyone compare these prices to Costco prices at all?

    • +2

Costco tends to sell precision clean only so it is not really comparable. I believe they are cheaper though. Also I doubt there is any actual difference so it might be a marketing gimmick after all.

      • I paid Costco $27 for one 10 pack, so less than $3 per head.

It seems the best price I can get from Coles and Woolworth after discount is about $5 per head.

    • +4

Costco have a regular special on their 10 pack 2 Cross action & 8 precission clean for ~$27, $2.70 each. Do not buy any Oral B bush heads of Ebay, so many fakes.

      • -4

But who really uses precision clean brushes anyway

      • I buy online, no issue. Just find reputable seller.
However, Costco is more readily accessible.

  • Damn, paid full price for the Crossaction replacement heads a few days ago.

I am fine buying stuff I don't put in my mouth from Ali Express. This is something else though.

Woolies, Kogan etc rebrand the same product and sell at massive markups. And they are actually pretty good and have been using them for a few years. Anyhow, suit yourself - was just sharing a bargain for others to benefit from.

        • They don't look like the bristles have the same strength, they look like super cheap toothbrush heads right? It's the denser/stronger bristles that do more cleaning. You could get the same clean but would have to press really hard against your teeth with the cheaper ones.

          • @onlinepred: The newer batch in particular (for the last two years) are soft yet strong, slightly stronger than the original Oral B Precision heads in fact. No extra pressing during brushing, and the bristles hold up very well - better than original precision head ones, believe it or not.
Order one and try for yourself - call it a cheap $2 experiment.

            • +1

@spy: Yeah I agree, they feel the same as the original ones. You can get all the different types of heads on aliexpress too (floss, whitening etc).

              • +1

@toobzy: Yep amazing how much cheaper they are. You're just paying for the brand name

            • @spy: I bought some less than a year ago, not these exact ones, but they lasted perhaps 1/10 of what the genuine ones did, and the bristles were noticeably fraying within weeks.

              • @onlinepred: Yeah I hear ya. Had them once and hated them. Give these ones a go!

          • @onlinepred: when I brough some really good fakes marketed as original Oral B, its only when you test then side by side that you see there is a noticible reduction in performance. The fakes do not oscillate as fast. The quality/ durabillity of the bristles would be much less. Original Oral B heads are precission made in Germany. $2.70 on regular costco specials

            • @frugal hermit: I know the ones you're talking about. Had 'em, binned 'em. Trust me these are different. They don't even look or try to look like the original.

        • -2

That's most likely true, but they face regulatory bodies and you can most likely take them to court if they sell you brushes with asbestos bristles.

Where as Aliexpress will laugh at you and offer you a $2 refund.

Ship from Au, is this your listing? Lol

      • No China USD1.27

Is the floss action compatible with just your basic Oral B electric toothbrush? (the cheapest one, think it's called "precision clean" or something).

    • If precision clean is compatible then floss action is compatible as well

    • +1

Yes the floss action is compatible with the basic oral B, that's the tooth brush head i use currently.

  • Cool I can change mine for the first time in 8 months

what is the occasion, married and it’s wedding anniversary or you are single and have a hot date ?

  • Does anyone know where you can find orthodontics tips aside from Amazon where they are $70 a pop

  • Much cheaper to buy through ebay - Can get 4 Toothbrush heads for $5 compared to 2 for $6.85 free shipping too

    • +9

      But are they fake?

    • Careful of fakes.

      • How can you tell if they are fake?

        • +3

          The label says Oral-C

    • +2

Brought through an ebay store that looked reputable, selling "original" product was selling 100s with top feedback. The product looked great just like the original. Its only when you test it side by side you see the fake does not oscilate as well. Dont buy through ebay

Bought this last week don't really remember what was the offer but definitely not 40% off. These things rarely go on sale :/

Edit: Bought it from Coles last week

  • Anyone seen a deal on the Oral B Pro 2 2000 handles?

    • Only get above the 4000 model. as these are made in Germany and Lithium ion batteries. cheaper ones are made in china and Ni-MH batteries. Oral-B Smart 5 5000 Electric Toothbrush Dual pack $124.99 @ Costco

      • The Pro 2 2000 is made in Germany and has Li-On battery as well.
