Do these have the defective keyboards?

    • Hi,

No these are not defective, these are refurbished laptops and are in working condition.

I think he's referring to the newer somewhat unpopular keyboard design.

      • Hey rep, @anujd24 any discounts on refurbished iPhones? ( looking for a 7 for dev phone )

  • +8

Suggestions, if items are the exact same model colour spec then just list one, you don't give actual photos anyway (which is baddddddd), so why there are like hundred different listing for the same model of MacBook air. Gee.. come on… Someone in your office must be bored and like repetitive works.

    • -2

Their website could be improved, but if you click on each one you can see the exact model. And there’s different ones.

  • Btw, I'm not apple person, anyone can help:

is that MacBook air decent enough? (Price and spec wise). I might get one for Mrs so I can take over her HP Elitebook.

Didn’t purchase from this mob, but after going through many laptops, the air is still my favorite. They’re perfect for everyday usage.

The only downside is if you wanna jack one off in winter and you touch the cold aluminium case and then have to wait a few minutes before you touch yourself because they can get a bit cold.

But maybe your wife will like that. IDK.

      • Nah mate, you gotta stick to the HD stuff, taxing the hardware and causing the case to warm up.

    • Get a pro. screen is way better, size is basically the same. Pro might even be smaller than that outdated Air design. speed is probably the same too
downside is usb-c only, and the keyboard. But the kb isn't that bad, the ports you can kinda get used to I guess. But the high res screen is awesome

      • Yea the air used to be lighter than the pro and also much slimmer as it was tapered at the front. Screen is def a big change, but also back then the air was significantly cheaper.

2017 air is better than 2015 pro though, no contest.

        • Oh yea its 2015 pro. Which means better ports and good keyboard, but a bit thicker.
I'd still go Pro, unless the 2017 is much faster or something. That air is an old design and the screen is crappy.
I've had both, and the difference in size is pretty tiny. The air has an illusion of thinness because it's tapered, but it's about the same. I think it's actually slightly larger in other dimensions.
The only thing in favour of the Air is battery life. It's like 9hrs on the pro vs 12hrs on the Air, but they are both good.

Great condition: show evidence of heavier use that will include scuffing, heavier scratches, dents and chips on external surfaces, wear and tear will be visible on palm rest, keyboard and touchpad.

I think your definition of great condition needs to be looked at.

    • +5

Great was a spelling error- meant to be “grated”

      • +3

        hinges may have small cracks.
        Oooooooooooo my god

        • I once bought a used macbook that looked like it had been stepped on a few times. In one spot the edge of the lid had been bent down hard enough to dig in and dent the body of the laptop, and there was slight but visible distortion at one area of the screen. Still worked perfectly though, and it didn't bother me when buying it.

But, this description of "good condition" still managed to scare me

  • Is it worth picking up a pro from this deal? kinda skeptical about the condition.

    • +1

This is exactly what I am thinking. "Good" seems to be scary.

Using macbook 2016 photos to sell macbook 2015 is a genius idea, I will simply keep a safe distance to this seller simply because of this.

  • Do you offer a tax receipt / invoice?

  • FYI - i purchased from these guys a while back…. Paid a small amount for a longer warranty (peace of mind) and had a voucher for a nice saving

VERY IMPRESSED with their service - their packaging (wow super protected) - and the Macbook pro I purchased for my daughter was in near perfect condition.

So happy i have considered buying another macbook for myself.

I believe you cant go wrong if you cant afford new, buying from here is the next best thing - i do recommend the warranty, just in case something goes wrong and just a little peace of mind for a small cost.

    Tax invoice provided

  • The classifications between 'Good,' and 'Great,' are concerning.

"will show evidence of heavier use that will include scuffing, heavier scratches, dents and chips,"

    • They’re covering their asses. At least they specify what each means.

Not like on eBay. “In excellent as new condition uleh!” And it’s totally screwed.

    • I've bought three items from them and the condition has always been really good despite the official descriptions. Their service has always been great and the prices can be really good.

  • Any photos so we know roughly what condition these will be in?

    • +1

no they refused to list items with real photos, ozb asked many times.

  • Just ordered a "good" condition laptop that I received yesterday, but it's actually pretty bloody rough and I think I might return it. :(

    • who will pay for shipping fee back? edit. them
      https://renewd.com.au/pages/returns

      • From some comments I've read, I think they will, as the laptop isn't in good condition. Their customer service seems pretty good, maybe I just got a bit unlucky.

        • but what if they said "we disclosed the conditions already and you still bought it" or "this is the best of our stocks"

          • +1

@CyberMurning: I'll then ask for a refund on the basis that a reasonable person would not consider it to be in a good condition.

    • pics?

      • +1

        See below

    • any pics of the laptop ?

      • Earliest I can upload them is probably tomorrow afternoon, sorry.

        • pictures of an acer, not a mac …..

          • @garage sale: I know, I never said it was a mac. But do you think that the condition description necessarily changes between brands?

    • Hi There,

Sorry to hear you are not happy with the condition please contact us at [email protected] with your order details and we are happy to send you a free return label and fully refund you for your laptop.

  • Pulled the trigger Fingers crossed, my youngest will be happy with the condition.

  • Keen to know if this comes up again - mate of mine was interested but missed the deadline.

  • noooo! pulled the trigger last night on a Mac Air as my pc slowly lets out a final death rattle!

  • I got one and it is in fantastic condition. The only visible signs that it has even been out of a box is two minor marks on the bottom. Unseen by everyone, unless the machine is put upside down.

    Fantastic!!!
