I enjoyed it. Critics site how great 3 was, I dont think another game being more original detracts from the formula of the newer Farcry's.
A steal for $20, such a great game
I got this recently and became pretty obsessed with it. I just ordered the vinyl of the soundtrack which arrived a few days ago which is pretty cool :)
Pre owned copies for both Xbox and PS4 are $19 at EB Games or $25 for new copies of the deluxe edition for both Xbox and PS4.
Incase peeps don't have prime.
I’ve only played FC4. How does this compare - campaign, story, variety, etc?
I haven't opened the one I bought form harvey norman for $5.

Just finished the game. Only fun with a friend. Things to note:
- Only the Host receives game progress
- Only the Host unlocks like new guns, and silver bar currency. Not a big problem since speical weapons (just the same guns with cosmetics) are available in the shop from the start.
- Hallucination cutscenes are annoying, most of them cannot be skipped and they happen often.
- Endings are disappointing.
- overall, this game is really easy in 'normal' difficulty
- The game took us about 10 hours to play through with almost all missions done.Since the is ozbargain, let's talk about $$$
Money is harder to earn. ex: loot a body ~ $5, a stash ~$20-$250, a gun or vehicle is $3000 - $7000, each weapon attachment is $1000 - $3000. so don't waste your money!Fully upgrade an assult rifle is the cheapest / easiest save money early game. Almost all enemies use the basic assult rifle so you can pick ammo up off them, this way you can save money on buying ammo. Shotguns and pistols are ok too, you might run out if you use them a lot. SMG, LMG, bow and sniper ammo are hard to find, if you really want to use them then you'll need to buy ammo everytime you go to a base.
I also recommend to save your money ($7200) and buy a helicopter with guns when you unlock a save house with a heli pad cause driving sucks. machine guns on the heli are OP, rockets are limited and costs money to refil ($1000). you can respawn one at base and get all ammo back.
Mid-Late game when you saved enough money, I recommend trying a spas12 shotgun suppressed for stealth and the M60 LMG when things get out of hand.
the most annoying things are planes that strafes you, best way to deal with them is to use a stationary machine gun, or steal a car with a gun on the back.

Can u highjack a chopter instead of buying it?
if you shoot one down, it will blow up. It's hard to find one lying around and you'll most likely loose it when you get shot down or when you respawn at a mission. Also there's no guns on it.
Same price at Target. Plenty of copies at my local.
A solid 12-14hr of content before it gets grindy, even more fun with a friend Co-op. Good game!
