Easiest Credit Card to Be Approved for?

Hi,

I'm looking for the easiest credit card to be approved for in Melbourne/Australia.

A CC with the lowest limit possible and the lowest income required, suitable for a self-employed recent uni graduate.

Thanks

CC with the lowest limit possible

    Lowest limit possible is $0.00.

So you can get a debit Visa/Mastercard and spend your own money. No minimum income required either.

If you have a decent banking / savings history with a particular bank, they're much more likely to give you a card than someone you have no history with.

Is there a particular reason you think you need a credit card?

While not always the case, this question is a pretty big red flag that you probably should not get a credit card.

    • Upvoting because I don't think this deserves a neg, but I can see a situations where a person might themselves validly be able to judge that they can use and have a credit card responsibly, even where it's impossible to show/prove that to a bank.

Self-employed uni graduate with short income history being one example, but it does require OP having good financial discipline themselves.

But as it's lack of income history, and not "history of bad credit" that's stopping them, there's nothing to say they shouldn't have a CC yet.

  • ME Bank or AMEX, being self employed doesn't help.

  • your regular bank it is. I got $500 limit for my first credit card when I was in uni but not sure if they do still.
