                • @ssquid: Dude, you've been around for a year. You should be aware that deals that quote $US mean you're best of checking out using $US (literally just a switch) and paying with a card with no foreign transaction fees like Citibank or 28degrees.
If you don't have those cards (you should) then you are likely better off taking PayPal or the websites conversion rate. I don't think this needs to be explained in each $US based deal.

  • Have there been any reports of these type of things exploding inside your ears? Could be dangerous.

    • per username.

Yes it is plot from me as per my username

Apparently they tend to smoke first - so if smoke comes out of your ears - remove device and send back for refund.

  • usb type c?

    • Micro USB

  • What Soundpeats model is this comparable to?
    I'm after the TrueFree+

  • Ordered mine. Thanks OP

  • Ive got the earlier version and I constantly get feedback that my voice is muffled or they cant hear me with background noise. Is the mic better in this one or just the same?

    • +1

Yeah, the mic is not close to your mouth. Its not an area they focused on, ok indoors, bad outdoors.

  • +1

Your just paying for quality, or lack thereof in cheaper ones.
    I have had the t1c and t2c.

On the t1c, the call quality was reasonable, but one of the buttons did not click properly and required multiple clicks to get it to recognise.
T2C, worked fine except the call quality was crap, could not use it.

  • Thanks. Don’t need - bought. Will probably end up in a draw somewhere after a week when the novelty wears off and I can no longer stand the horrible sound quality.

    First step into “true wireless”

  • +1

Can anyone suggest an Airpods alternative that doesn't have the in ear tips? I plan on using these for calls and podcasts so I'm not too fussed about amazing sound quality. Must be truly wireless.

I'm not that keen on dropping $230 on airpods, plus I've got a Pixel so something non Apple would work better.

Surely there must be an alternative? Struggling to find an answer to this anywhere like Reddit etc (that's why I'm posting here)

  • I can't find a place to apply the coupon, at the check out screen? Nothing there

    edit: nevermind found it

  • Thanks OP! Bought a pair

  • I recently lost my Samsung ear buds. Was devo.
Wondering if this will be a good replacement. Any thoughts?

  • +1

    Good for use with motorcycle?
Not too worried about the mic, the ones that go in the helmet are pretty poor, I've tried a couple of them including the Aldi one.

  • Any idea how long this will be valid? Want to use my 28 degrees card, but left it at home…

    • +2

Still several hundred left so you should be fine.

  • Which one is better, this or the QCY L2, audio quality? (almost same price on the other deal)

  • +1

    A$29.49 for me

    • -1

Yeah the AU rate on the website is out of whack so that's why you pay in USD if you have a card without currency conversion fees setup in Paypal. Then you'll get the Mastercard/Visa rate.

      • +1

Yep just realized I could pay in US$, so switched to US$ and used PayPal with my citibank card with no foreign transaction fee.

All good. Just bought one thanks.

        • +1

Glad you were able to work it out :)

  • Users be careful. I ordered a set on the website and then was sent an email from Geekbuying asking for a photo of my credit card and passport. I am not sure that it is legitimate. Assuming that it is, that is very sensitive information to send overseas. If it isn't legitimate, then there has already been a data breach.

    • What's your order number? I'll get that sorted for you.

Reason they would have sent that is you used a credit card outside of PayPal.

      • 4984777

        • Thanks. That's been sorted

          • @Clear: Hi Op. What is the eta after order using express to Sydney. Thanks.

            • +2

@barblade: 2-7 business days for processing and should be around 5-8 business days once shipped. It'll deliver through the Auspost network once it reaches AU

  • Thanks, Clear. Got one.

  • Hi, the code has expired. Is it possible to get a new one? Thanks

  • Hi OP, I'm a bit of a newb to this but I ordered on the 29th and my item is still not even marked as shipped on my account page. Order #4983683.

  • Mine has shipped but their express mail isn't that express lol. Mine still on the way since ordering on 30/7.

    • Compared to free shipping which is ~30 business days it's express ;) Couriers like DHL will always be the quickest from China.

      • Showing up now delivering tues

  • Just received mine. Very good for the price. My first 'true wireless' earphones, so I was worried about them feeling loose and falling out. Fit nice and snug and sound pretty good too. Will be mostly used for listening to podcasts, so not too worried about sound quality.

  • How do these compare to wired earphones (of similar price) such as xiaomi hybrid hd pro in terms of sound quality?

  • -1

i bought these and the sony earpods from the current qantas deal. what do i do with all this gear?

  • Audio is quite muddy but for the price they're okay for gym and podcasts.

  • when will these cheap buds be using usb C?

  • @Clear: Hi OP. can you check up my order? #5000788 I thought the coupon was applied but it seems like it charged me: USD 21.49. Any help?

    • Maybe you purchased these ones instead?

      • Oh snap. I must have gotten the two posts confused. My b.
