Not a bad price to play the campaign, less than a thousand total players so multiplayer most likely dead for AUS.

    Platform : Windows 98, Windows 7

  • Is it worth it just for the single player campaign? I haven't played a CoD since Modern Warfare 2..

    • Yes for the single player campaign it is worth it. Also worth it for the zombie mode if you are interested in that.

    • +3

Absolutely not; don't spoil whatever fond memories you have.

I was in a similar boat and ordered it at $8. It was hands down the worst gaming experience I've had to date. It's a constant stream on unskippable cutscenes, unavoidable scripted sequences, "mash button <a>" QTEs, and minimal actual play time. And then you get to the missions with vehicles…

The Jeep was ok. The tank was infuriati.ng The plane was utterly unplayable; I uninstalled the game at this point.

      Don't buy the game.

      • +1

Bought this at launch because I was a huge fan of COD:UO and COD 2.

This - like every COD since MW2 - is just a re-skinned MW2. Some of the tech available is not even era-specific.

        It was incredibly disappointing.

  • Does this activate on Steam or what?

    • +1

      Yep

      • Thanks.

    • "….or what?"

      True OZbargainer :D

  • Was just about to grab it but then I realised that I think I already bought this from eb Games a while back. Whew, that was close. Better check my back catalogues to make sure.

    • haha.. 1st world problem :)

    • How much was it from EB Games?

Yeah I made the same mistake with oblivion this morning on fanatical so just gave it away to the website.. so I don't mind because good karma is good karma

  • I bought this last time, hoping for bit of a trip down memory lane…..all I got was a buggy piece of garbage that I couldn't play because it wouldn't save my game. Every time I got killed it would restart at the start of the game rather than the last checkpoint. Seems like a common issue when I looked it up. Never managed to find a fix so gave up.

  • Damn $5.99 delivery kills it for me.. and can't think of anything to make it past the free delivery $49 limit.

Let's see if there are any groceries on sale to make up the remaining $40.

    • $7.95 to Perth

      • Mine was to Sydney (Blue Mountains)

    • strange I got free delivery and a free 30 day prime membership???

      • The 30 day prime membership is once off if I recall correctly and I don't want to accept it because I have forgotten about trials in the past and then been bill shocked when I find out about it later.

        Short term memory problems.

  • Bought when the same deal came up near xmas last year.
Multiplayer was solid, they were still adding new content a few months ago!
Peppering lazy PTRS snipers with the Lewis on the Gustav Cannon map felt so boss!

I find the singleplayer storyline so boring, its the cliche faultless, selfless naive american dude, his nerd friend, and the overbearing Sergeant

  • not bad considering steam selling for $89… just purchased it… hopefully it supports ultrawide monitor…. just getting it for the campaign.
Edit: Didn't take much notice however is this a physical copy shipped or a cd key via email?
