Those new upgrades sound pretty good, will wait til it drops a bit lower first though.

  • Doesn't feel like a deal considering I bought the G703 lightspeed for 80$ just 4 weeks ago

    • You did not buy this mouse, read the deal description please.

      • I tried to edit but you already replied.
Anyway, 50$ for a couple hours extra battery life doesn't seem like a deal

        • Nearly doubled battery life for lightning off is not what i'd call a "couple hours"

Edit: Made a mistake the new version is 35 hours not 32 for lightning on.

A mouse at this price is definitely not a deal. Old G703 could be had as low as $68 previously I believe. If anyone wants to make a claim that the battery life is worth it, you may as well just have purchased two of the old g703. The weight reduction and sensor improvement will make no difference to those who are not professional fps gamers - who likely wouldn't be using a mouse above 80g anyway (or wireless for that matter, however I'm sure the 'wired is king' theory is slowly changing amongst pro's)

@scottySK: You definitely don't need to be a "pro" to make use of lighter mice, I can easily notice the difference between my OLD G703 and any of my other Lighter mice when gaming and can feel the heavier weight holding me back.

Not saying this is a crazy good deal though as you do have a good point, mainly posted as ive already seen one person pay the full $169 price tag for this mouse so this is a good deal for this mouse regardless if you think so or not.

            • @Axelstrife: Yes I agree we can all definitely tell if one mouse is lighter than another, I simply mean there is no performance improvement to really be gained for the average Joe casual user..
I'm still glad to see what you've posted, I wouldn't down vote, I just want to make the point for people to consider before spending this kind of money on a peripheral.

I'd love my g703 to weigh half as much as it does, 60g and wireless would be awesome. Would I pay hundreds to upgrade when I play counter strike matchmaking once a fortnight? Probably not.

              • @scottySK: If you play that little there's a good chance your using whatever terrible mouse that came with your dell prebuilt.

That's the entire reason why i described exactly why this G703 is more expensive than others they might see atm (at least while it's being cleared from stores) and what you get for the extra money.

If they don't read my Description there's a good chance they won't make it to the comments lol

  • It's a tempting deal but I would definitely wait a bit more until it drops further.

Personally, G403 / G703 is the best mouse series I've used so far.

    • Totally agree, i bought a G403 which was a returned gift for $70 from memory a while back, still loving it to this day

      • G403 is da shit love that mouse

I was able to grab the older version for $73 by price matching at OW. Battery last around 4 days with lighting on around 5-6 hours day and I don’t find it inconvenient at all. And at almost double the price I don’t think the newer version is worth it.

Not exactly sure why you'd get this over the G603, but definitely a good deal.

  • No good for south paws…shame:(

  • Is this better than Logitech G900/3? I am using Logitech G900 and it feels like….air…

    • Please explain what you mean by air?

      • It feels really light. I can move swiftly with it and it feels really smooth. I am looking for upgrade but still haven't gotten the stomach for G903 price…

        • Honestly in the mice world the G900 is classed as a heavy mouse,no im not joking lol.
There are mice being released that are literally less than half the weight of your G900.

The G703 HERO is lighter and better battery life than your G900 but you loose the Infinite scroll wheel (you know how it can spin really fast without noticeable steps). the Sensors are virtually identical, you won't really notice any difference.

If you want a much lighter mouse spend a little more for a Logitech G pro wireless, expensive mouse but it's the lightest Wireless mouse at 80g i use it and i have about (15 different mice)

IMO since you feel your G900 is light you are used to the weight may i suggest buying new mouse feet which will make it glide better on your mouse pad,https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-Sets-pack-Tiger-Gaming-Mouse-Feet-Mouse-Skate-for-Razer-SteelSeries-Logitech/143271348758?

I use these and they are fantastic especially for the price, it is not hard to change mouse feet.

May i ask why do you want to upgrade? Something wrong with your G900?

  • Currently travelling in China and I an get this mouse for CNY500(AUD$100,MSRP CNY¥599) from Logitech China.

Doesn't feels like a deal to me and not sure why MSRP is so high in Oz
