I've been keeping my eye on RTX 2080 Ti prices for a new build, and although I probably can't justify shelling out $1.5k on a GPU upgrade over my GTX 1080, this seems like a decent deal.

Wow good find. Never heard of this eBay seller though. Decent amount of reviews on them, have you used them before?
I might just wait for more discount. Windforce OC has reviews of high temperature.
Gaming OC is slightly better in both frequency and temperature and it was on sale at $1400 last month.Fair call. Totally missed that $1400 deal for the Gaming OC, would definitely have been more tempted by that.

Such a weird card. Who is buying these? Until the top end card can deliver 100+fps at 4K ultra settings, then 1440p will be a superior experience, which doesn't require a card like this!

You are, there are plenty of benefits with a 2080ti at 1440p.
Its still insanely expensive though and not great value.
Nah I agree. Until 4k 100fps, 1440 will remain king.
I have a 1080ti and the price to performance upgrade is horrible.
Will upgrade gpu when 4k 100fps is a thing.
There's also VR, for which you basically need the best video card you can get.
Yep, if you want high settings and high minimum at 1440p a RTX 2080ti is required. Older games and non AAA will do OK with other cards but that isn't value to aim for.
Can't believe that 2080Ti's have bounced back up to the $1700 range on other stores (eg UMart) vs a month ago when people thought SUPER or AMD would push demand down :(

Prices have not really change for the 2080ti.
I was tracking a couple which were in the $1500ish range and found that same sellers are now pushing prices back up to $1700-1800ish.
They were probably specials like with mwave and umart. Stock seems to be a problem again as well. Or could be something else coming we don't know about. Anyway the same sellers on ebay with the $1400(standard) to $1650(top end) after discount have the same pricing they have had for ages.
the card does not run hot also its cheapest good A chip you will find.
