It’s only been launched in store this week and already some good discounts!

The GZ1000 range are packed with features including both HDR formats: Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ as well as Dolby Atmos, etc.

Vincent from HDTVTest recently reviewed the GZ950 (not available in Australia. The GZ950 has identical picture as our GZ1000. But our GZ1000 has better sound speakers).

Just a heads up, The Good Guys will have 10% off sitewide starting tomorrow, making the 65" $4495.50 C&C and 55" $2695.50, Harvey Norman will probably drop their prices also during the sale.

    • Nvm this is Panasonic, got them confused

They use FIREOS - which is now dead. - Read here

    • That's why I never buy another Panasonic again, their software is set and forget, as they never update their software.

      • That's why external boxes are the way to add smart TV features.

It's miles behind Samsung and LG web OS with that ancient remote lol

      • +3

People buy Panasonic because they have the best picture.
The OS is great, but if one wants truly intuitive OS, get Apple TV, a PlayStation 4, X-Bone One.

Or if you don't want to go to those extremes, get an LG and WebOS…

My LG B6 with its air-remote flys through NetFlix, Amazon Prime, Stan, YouTube, all apps work well and is it's very simple to use

And "best picture" is debatable, rtings have the LG's always on the top of the lists

@[Deactivated]: Unfortunately Panasonic don’t sell their tellies in the USA and RTINGS don’t review them. So, we’ll never know what they think of them. Panasonic have won the HDTVTEST Shootout for the past 2 years.

Kind of yes, kind of no.

Panasonic have forked the Firefox OS and are developing it themselves into what Panasonic TVs have now (My Home Screen 2.0). They jointly developed Firefox OS with Mozilla originally, so they obviously understand it well.

For mine, I like the Panasonic OS. Each to their own.

Panasonic are now up to My Home Screen 4.0 for their 2019 tellie range. I agree with you, the OS is fast and does the job well.

GZ1000 much cheaper at TGG commercial if you have access, $3863

  • Would be waiting for 8K Micro LED for next big TV

  • The new models have Dolby Vision, i wonder if the old models will be getting this as well?

  • HDMI 2.1? 120z? The specs page has nothing.

    • The only HDMI 2.1 feature that is in their 2019 range is ALLM.

      • Thanks.
