It is cheap. But the resolution 2560x1080 is not good enough. You need to consider more high resolution if you want to keep long time…

    • that's my only concern with it but a good price i think.

    • For a lot of people, 1080P is just fine. They like to dial the settings to low in order to bump frame rates. Not everyone cares about resolution.

at this screen size the res would ruin the experience, would be seeing individual pixels unless ure sitting very far.

I had that sort of conversation with someone recently. They were saying that 1080p was too low of a resolution.

They then told me they sit less than 40cm away from the screen. Well, of course at that distance, it's too low.

I'm sitting 1.2m away from my screens (one is a 34" 2560x1080) and they look fine.

          • @Goldfire: Downvoting me because my experience of sitting far away doesn't warrant a higher resolution?

I did say, sure, if you're too close (eg, <50cm), then 1080p is a low resolution.

Stay classy guys, you could've at least argued why instead of mindlessly downvoting.

      • we're talking 1080p over 35" that's a very low PPI

        • If it was 16:9 35inch, yes 1080p would be too low in density but we are talking about 21:9.

The physical height of the screen is almost identical to 16:9 27inch monitor, if you are okay with 1080p on a typical 27 inch, you will be fine.

How is this for gaming? Low resolution could be good for high frame rates I guess?

From my experience with a 144hz 1080p monitor and a nvidia 1070 you need a $700-800+ GPU to be able to have most games even get close to reaching 80-100fps on good settings. To get close to 200hz you would need a $1000+ gpu any higher resolutions you would be needing multiple GPU's and if you had that money then this screen is not worth it.

Well i play all my games at 144Mhz 144FPS .. :) but a Radeon RX470 runs League of legends at 144FPS without any issues.
I am looking to get a 240Hz monitor for even smoother experience.. yes 144Hz is still not enough

Much better option for roughly the same price

  • VA panel, which is absolutely crud for 200 Hz. Contrast should be great though.

  • Would this be ok for music production? Scaling? Basically using Cubase/Logic. No gaming.

there is a 3440 x 1440 version of this monitor (Kogan KAMN341FQULA) which is much better for productivity.

1080p vertical resolution is quite ordinary.

      • Hope it hits $499 or under again soon. Looking to buy one. Wish I wanted 2 months earlier :P

  • i have a 34" curved with 3440x1440 and it's great. though everything is a bit small in games.. @35" it might be a bit better.. though at 32" or so i'd prefer 2560x1080

I bought the old 144Hz version of this monitor - sold it because at high refresh quite abit of ghosting

  • being a VA panel even if this hits 200hz it's not capable of true 200hz due to response times of the panel.

  • Would this be good for viewing pdfs and excel spreadsheets?
