Have been looking for a laptop and have been waiting for a good deal. I know its not the highest spec laptop/ultrabook out there. But this seems to be good at just under $1000, but I'm still deciding whether to pay a bit more and go the UX433 at Amazon or maybe a Lenovo X1 Carbon. Happy to be pointed to other better deals!

    Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga G3 isn't as good as this but with Lan & Thunderbolt ports.

    Thanks for posting this. I can not comment but am also looking for a budget laptop $700-$900. 8G RAM and SSD drive and i5 - maybe asking for too much. There is an ASUS ASUS FX505DT-BQ143T 15.6" AMD Ryzen for $1023 as well by Computer Alliance. Decisions… for a grade 10 student
