While the price is fantastic, latency of 19 at 2666Mhz is slow AF in terms of DDR4. Really slow. Don't expect much performance.

    • Agreed these must be the really badly binned sticks that they're trying to sell off instead of actually chuck them in the bin.

Are these poor? I was just looking at some Corsair 3200MHz DDR4 with 16-18-18-36 timing which doesn't seem too far off (of course, the higher the speed the higher you probably also expect the latency in cycles). I'm not very experienced in RAM quality.

That is very far off mate. The speed is much faster (3200 vs 2666), and the latency is much lower (16 vs 19). You'd see a big performance difference between the two, maybe 30% if using Ryzen.

latency is a function of CAS and RAM frequency, slower shouldn't mean worse latency but it does in this case. Almost 50% worse latency with these sticks..

Cheap, but I expect much better latency at that speed.
