Quick vouch for Kogan monitors also. I own a 24" 1080p 144hz monitor from them which is perfect, and 3 years old. I also have a 34" curved ultrawide from them which is also near perfect (slight light bleed on 2cm of the bezel when looking from above!).

Colours and response time is 10/10!

  • Any ideas what kind of panel it is? Can only find that it's made by BOE in the specs.

can't tell if IPS , but 6.5ms sounds like IPS

  • I like the quality of Kogan monitors bar the one fact that the brightness for me personally is way too bright and it is very hard to adjust to a lower scale. If you are in a room with lots of light it will be fine, but at night time from my experience it really strains your eyes and I had to swap out.

Do you mean that the physical controls are bad? Try ClickMonitorDDC, for on screen monitor controls.

you can only cycle through presets that have varying contrasts and brightness, otherwise when you try and manually adjust it outside of it, the options are grayed out and you can't manually change brightness or contrast (from my experience). Since Kogan monitors don't have many reviews and it probably doesn't bother other people, I never found a solution.

      • But yeah what you sent me works well for my current monitor, just dont have a Kogan to try it out on anymore xD

I was looking at these a while ago, but the lack of VESA mounting prevented me.

VESA Wall Mount Pattern:75 x 75 - this is from the specs?

      • +1

Weird you can't see it in the picture of the monitor and normally these thin monitors don't have vesa mounts.

        • it says so in the specs on the web. 75mm vesa

it doesnt look like it has 3.5mm out though.

        • The 4 holes are on the lower third section of the monitor which I find odd but acceptable.

  • Any idea what colour reproduction would be like for photo work?

    • Based off the specs i'd say it'd be nothing bad but nothing fab. Pretty standard expectations colour wise.

  • What was the price before the discount?

    • Probably the same. They probably just boosted the price the day before the sale. lol.

        well its back to $449!

Seems like a good price even the specs. Just remember people Kogan have next to no postsale support. Horrible company to deal with.

    • A different deal. Yes IPS is better but also it's a smaller screen and a different resolution.

  • If you choose Kogan First trial to save fright, then you can't use your existing credit. I ended up cancelled my order.

  • I bought one. No idea if I'll use it at home for gaming (I only have an RX 570…. And I'm not sure this screen is even good for gaming?) or take it to work to replace a 24" 1080p screen!

    • Not great for gaming (60 hz and 6.5 ms response I think), don't think the Rx 570 would suit it too.

    • Screen is ideal for work, but not for gaming due to 60hz refresh and lower than average pixel response rates.

High refresh rate is quite important for games, maybe target 144hz as they're extremely common nowadays. Usually starts at $199 for a 144hz monitor for 24 inches

    • Awesome, new work screen it is! I'll claim it on tax :)

      • If you've always used 30hz/60hz, you won't notice an fps difference and will just have the better graphics.
