  • What are these like? My only exposure to a Soundbar was a cheapie from Aldi, and I found it struggled with 5.1 sources as the centre channel (usually voice) was drowned out by music / sound effects.

I'm not expecting a soundbar to replace a surround sound system, but I've heard good things about this and want to know how it performs.

This one does have a setting for voice clarity so that's good for those situations and will boost dialogue volume. I've had issues with my tv connecting and forgetting my Arc settings though but there seems to be a common issue with Hisense TVs and this bar.

      • So what did you do? Not use the arc? I have issues with my tv a target platinum and it's issues with sound from it,couple of times got it to work but most times not. As my tv has no optical I got a box that connects from coaxial to optical on bar so I yet to try this. Here was me thinking of a hisense tv and seems it's problems also.

      • I have the same setup and it drives me nuts. If I accidentally turn off the soundbar I have to reset it by turning it off/on at the wall so the CEC works again.

    • I bought mine especially for Clear Voice mode and it does the trick.

I honestly think its pretty rubbish I've got it at home with a powered subwoofer but that hardly helps, there really is no 'surround' effect. If you want to upgrade from TV speakers i'd go with the logitech z906 wait for a sale last set I got was $260.

      • @StiSupafly totally agree, I have a z906 for my TV audio. Although my TV does not pass through Digital Surround via Optical i just connect my z906 to my Media PC. Can never find any decent "Hi-Fi home theatre" audio systems unless you're paying through your nose with big fat receivers. Z906 does the job with ease imo.

    • I bought one a month ago. It is good! Big too!

If not in a hurry, may as well wait for Prime Day next Monday and Tuesday and see what comes up

  • Bought it during the last deal for $159. Unfortunately my one broke within a few hours of use and the store had no replacements available so I just got a refund. Waiting until it's back down to around that price before biting the bullet again.

  • I bought this in the last deal as well and for my bedroom TV, it is pretty good.

  • Bought this a couple of weeks ago but can't connect it to my hisense 75p7 using hdmi. Heads up

    • Did you try this? https://whrl.pl/Rfma00

Still looks like there might be problems with forgetting the settings though.

  • yeh tried that aswell, i noticed it only works with my older hisense tv.

  • $169 on Amazon for prime day.
