No ingredient list? Home made photography? What's the bargain? Pass..

  • -4

please read the description it has the ingredients and the labels are not home made

    • +1

Sorry what are the ingredients? I'm fairly sure 'Pink Clay' is not an ingredient.

I never mentioned the labels as home made. I'm sure they're professionally printed. The photography however..

      What is the actual bargain?

  • Ingredients: Kaolin (White Clay), Red Iron Oxide (Pink Clay), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Milk)

Powder, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice Powder*,

Chamomilla Recutita (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Lavandula (Lavender) Angustifolia Oil - *Organic Ingredients [email protected] www.sarahjanecosmetics.com.au

    • I hope that isn't the official list because Red Iron Oxide is certainly not 'Pink Clay'

      • Ingredients: Kaolin, Red Iron Oxide(Pink Clay)
Pink Australian Clay has a lower iron content than the red clay hence the lighter colour. This essential minerals to help replenish and regenerate the epidermis of the skin to create softened and conditioned skin with a healthy glow. The clay can be blended with other clays for different properties and effect or used as a stand-alone additive for face and body masks.

Note: In late 2018 the mine extracting the Australian pink clay was closed due to exhausting the natural clay desposits. In order to maintain supply of the same specification product manufacturers commenced manufacturing the pink clay from Australian mined kaolin and Iron oxide pigment. This produces a clay with the same characteristics and chemistry and the original product but via a slightly different process.

        • Not sure if you read my comment. Red Iron Oxide is NOT Pink Clay. It's fine if you blend Red with white (Kaolin) clay to make pink, however Red Iron Oxide by itself is not Pink Clay. You've also copied and pasted word for word from New directions where they sell 1kg of the Kaolin and Red Iron Oxide mix for $19/kg.

          What is the bargain?

          • @hmmz: so you already knew the answer to your question why pink clay is now manufactured by all Australian pink clay sellers? as you can see on new directions this is unmixed our product is ready to use. as you can see by our ingredients list. also they sell 1kg for $29

            https://shop.newdirections.com.au/epages/newdirections.sf/en…

which = $2.64 for a unmixed product which you are welcome to buy and mix your own ingredients

            • @sarahjanecosmetics: That's the real bargain. $29 for 1kg is 200 'single use' amounts which equates to 15c/5g.

              • @hmmz: ok you can go buy there mask and do this as they suggest:

This clay mask can be used as supplied or customised to create different textures, viscosities and price points.

Here are some suggestions to get you started:

                1) Create a 50:50 mix with our unscented moisturising cream for a creamy pink body clay wrap.

                2) Blend 75:25 mix with our Facial Serum base for an anti-ageing gelled mask enriched with marine collagen and rosehip oil.

                3) Combine a 20:80 mix with our Aloe Gel for a light and easy-to-spread cooling mask.

                4) Spoon together an 80:20 mix of Shea butter into the pink mask and heat to 60C to melt the butter, mixing it through with a spatula. This leaves you with a rich barrier protecting mask suitable for extra dry skin. If you want to commercialise this concept you would have to stabilise the formula further as the oil will eventually separate out.

Fragrancing: This product can be fragranced using your choice of essential oils or perfumes.

Further Customising: This mask can be customised with floral waters, actives and/or oils to varying levels. Start with 1-5% additions and experiment with up to 20% additions to the base. The clay mask is super concentrated so it can stretch to accomodate more ingredients.

                Colour: Bright Pink

To Use the mask as supplied:

Apply an even layer of the Pink Clay Mask to dry skin over the entire face avoiding the eye area and allow it to dry.
To remove, use a damp cloth on the face, pressing gently down with your fingertips. By dampening the mask it allows it to return to a creamy consistency and allowing easy removal of the mask.
Remove thoroughly and apply a moisturiser.
Please Note: The Pink Clay Face Mask is one of our more intensively detoxifying clay masks. It is normal to feel tingly during the product drying process as the clay mask is detoxifying your skin, drawing out impurities and tightening your pores. After rinsing off the mask you will expect the skin to be a little warm and have a red appearance because the ion particles in the clay will increase blood circulation or bring more blood to the surface of your skin. The redness and heat should go away after a few minutes to an hour or longer dependent on your skin sensitivity.

Let me know if you become a manufacturer as I will buy in bulk thanks for your time I must get back to my real job :)

            • +2

@sarahjanecosmetics: Mixing your own is a great idea, you should have posted this as a bargain!

              • @samfisher5986: how is that going to help my business get our product out there lol but it is written right here go for it :)

                • +2

@sarahjanecosmetics: Well if you sold a premixed version in a bulk 1KG container or something for a good price I would buy it.

A single use mask that I've never used would be better off as a free sample, or cheaper then $3.

Its also much better for the environment, which seems to fit in with your business ideology (I assume)
