Not much of a bargain. should add delivery cost in title since no pickup. looks like this one is better at $13 shipping with free click and collect locations in the eastern states https://www.umart.com.au/Asus-WHD-A2-1TB-Travelair-N-1TB-Wir…
Please check the modified price for the same external HDD
pickup possible, please check the website for details, thanks
Man that website looks familiar..
Haha, it's a shameless ripoff of Newegg's design.
Anyone know if;
* You need to use the proprietary software 'Intuitive AiDrive App' or can you connect to the standard network drive features of Windows/MacOS?
* HDD speed (5400 / 7200)?
* Can the HDD be easily replaced with an SSD?HDD Speed is 5400RPM
Though as much seeing as ASUS specifically fail to mention it on the official specs page
https://www.asus.com/au/Optical-Drives-Storage/Travelair-N-W…Yeah even i am following up with my Asus Rep
2.4Ghz only, very slow wireless connection.
Not really how it works. 5ghz is more about avoiding signal congestion than outright speed, and for a slow 5400 drive probably connected to one user it'll make 0 real world difference.
Off course I know it. I have used couple of wireless USB drive/ HDDs. Using the FTP to transfer the files, The 2.4Ghz ones maximus trafer speed is only about 8MB/s, but the WD wireless Pro with 5Ghz one is almost 35-40MB/s.
Might be better off getting a RavPower FileHub AC750 (RP-WD007) or the older RP-WD007. Especially if you want to be using an SSD drive (or have an existing external HDD).

It's got an SD Card reader (can do 1 touch backups to an attached HDD), and you can plugin your own external HDD (like a Samsung T3/T5 etc).
this looks interesting…might look into this instead, thanks mate!
Sweet got the rav instead, reviews are good too
Can you run Plex server on it like with WD My Passport Wireless Pro Portable External Hard Drive ?
Can you clarify you run a Plex server on it? Or you just host your audio / video on the HDD?
