At the final step it says:
    One-time Setup Fee: $0.00
    Membership Fee (Yearly Billing): $60.00
    Total: $60.00

    • Not sure what you did wrong

      One-time Setup Fee: $0.00
      Membership Fee (Yearly Billing): $0.00
      Total: $0.00

      • Maybe cause I was paying through paypal. Now entered the card details normally and all good. thanks.

  • Signed up, didn't get 1 year free. Next bill in one month $7

Yes, same with virtually any product/service that offers a free trial.
Not a valid reason to neg this deal.

Put a reminder in your phone to cancel it.

  • Hmm I go through process and still showing as 60 for me

Not a good company to deal with. They add unnecessary packaging to ur packet to push it's weight(= higher shipping charges)
I have used them for about 5 times. Had to pay way more than their website's estimate every single time.

    • who is the best freight forwarder to use?

Planet Express have been good for me so far. From my understanding it is run by some ex Shipito employees. Seems to be pretty competitive and much more responsive than Shipito. Referral link here https://planetexpress.com/?ref=29011 (not sure if that's allowed otherwise just go straight to their website.

      • Try shop now ship. It is run by a freight company called Aramax(I think) so they keep shipping charges comparatively lower. Shopandship.com

    • can't say i've had that same experience. sometimes i feel they don't use enough packaging, so i opt to have them retain the packaging/boxes from the original parcel to combine into the single package.

i never bother with that shipping estimator tool unless you know the exact weight of the item you're ordering (which very few merchants or sellers provide in advance)

i've saved heaps with this lot, especially to dodge ebay's pathetic Global Shipping Program. if you think myus.com pads shipping costs, it's nothing compared to the GSP rort. with myus at least, they're transparent with how they charge you GST.

one downside with myus is that they don't give you cheaper/slower shipping options for larger parcels — just fedex, dhl and ups.

they're yanks - ain't nothing free in the states cept the lead in the water

    • .. and some frakkin' Methane if your lucky!

You have to pay tax on that, but you won't know what it is until you get to the payment point.

      • match point

  • One-time Setup Fee: $0.00
    Membership Fee (Yearly Billing): $0.00
    Total: $0.00

  • Same. It says $60 at the terms and conditions page before you sign up but after you submit it shows an invoice of $0 annual fee. Thanks OP!

This is a bait. They say the set up is free but $60.00 annual membership. What do they do - mail you the $60back!!!

    • Plus shipping :)

  • +2

Unless you cancel your membership completely by the end of the one-year membership, they will charge you $10 for converting to free membership.
If you have Amex, they generally have a 30% off shipping rates which make them reasonably competitive. (Not sure if that is a promotion or ongoing, still works on my account)

    • You mean cancelling exactly one year after subscribing?

I just signed up like I did with shipster and see if I would ever use it … now that it's costing me $10 if I don't cancel properly

      • +1

If you don't cancel, then they will charge you the $60 for premium membership. If you want to continue without paying, you will be required to switch to free membership and they will charge you $10

        • All good, thanks for the explanation

  • Thanks! Worked for me, but only using a credit card (no PayPal).

  • my 2-year free premium membership is coming to an end this year.

too bad they're not offering the 30% discount again
