REBEL SPORT All Razor scooters HALF PRICE (Online & some instore)

70

Rebel Sport Online has got all Razor scooters half price. I've bought 2 Pro models for $84 delivered (Sydney metro), in the shop it is still priced at $99.95 EACH. It is possible that there are 2 different models, coz even online there are 2 different listings for Pro, one is priced at RRP $119.95, down to $60. The one I bought RRP $70.00, down to $35 ea, however the stock photos for both listings are exactly the same.

Also they have Powerwing and Siege there (down to $75 ea).

Went to Rebel Blacktown last Saturday, they had the 50%off sign in front of the store re the Razor scooters. We bought a Siege and a Pro one (doing a favor for a friend), the Pro ones in the shop were still marked as $119.95 (came with bonus ABEC 9 bearings), none were marked $70, I'm guessing the website ones might be older stocks????

So check with your local store, maybe the offer is nation-wide for the stores also???

And unfortunately the Ripsticks are not on special, in case you're wondering :(

Sorry didn't post this earlier, I thought someone would have posted it on Ozbargain by now :)

We are very happy with the quality of Razor's products, we have Siege and Cruiser at home, also an original one bought 6 years ago, still going strong.

Hope this will be useful for someone

  • Scooters and Ripsticks are probably the worst fads ever conceived.

Good prices though, if you're into that sort of thing…

    • +1

I have 2 kids, 12 and 8, they LOVE scooters and Ripsticks. The 2 Pro we bought are are actually for hubby and myself (aged 34 and 33), for when we feel like going for a LONG family walk together :)
We think they're super fun, each to their own I guess :)

      • Well that's fine.

Just don't send them down to the local skatepark where they get in everyone's way. I've had many a close call, and let me tell you, the kid on the scooter would have come out a lot worse than me.

Ripsticks are WAY worse than scooters though. You've gotta agree that they're just stupid. You'd be better off walking than using one of those.

        • It all comes down to common sense and common courtesy, so no, I will not stop them fron going to the local skatepark if they wish to go there someday. You shouldn't generalise all young scooter riders to be irresponsible kids :(

My 12yr old daughter loves her (knock-off branded) Ripstick look alike, I don't agree that they're stupid, but they're no use when going downhill or uphill, on flat or slightly elevated surfaces , they're still OK. In saying that, she's a bit over it atm, and getting serious with her skateboard, trying to do tricks etc.

      • Can't respond to directly your 2nd reply.

What I meant is, just don't let them loose in the middle of the street course. If they don't look where they're going and crash into someone, they've got no one to blame but themselves. I get sick and tired of parents essentially using the skateparks as a day care centre. Not saying you're going to do this, but just see where I'm coming from and why I have a negative attitude towards scooters.

Good to hear that she's getting into skateboarding. That's the way to go. I've been skating since I was 12 and I haven't looked back. It's definitely one of the harder extreme sports to get good at, but it's so much fun.

    • What? The worse?

Big statement, what about todays fads of Beiber/Black/planking/Squinkies etc etc etc. Would you prefer to watch a Twilight flick?

Scooters have been around since my grandparents age, Razr's have been around for at least 15 years.

      • also add Jersey Shore and reality tv to that list.

    • Although it's not specified, I take it that the price is expressed in 1999 denominated Australian dollars.

The year 2000 called, they want their fad back.

OMG did you warn them about 9/11 and the tsunami?

+1 internetz for the correct reference
