Recommendation for 1-2 Week Retreat / Holiday in VIC?

Hi everyone,

I'm 28 year old male that just recently resigned from my job after 8.5 years after working my way up within the company, company was taken over and I got sick of the new administration fast (Long story short)

I'm at the point in life where I'm worn out and run-down and need a reset (per se) before my next venture (yet to be decided). Can anyone recommend a relaxing retreat somewhere in VIC where I can for the most part close off from the world and just relax, I'm not after anything specific just something considered relaxing. Unfortunately my mates can't have time off work at this time of the year so it will be just me.

At this point I'll take any suggestion. Unfortunately going overseas isn't something I can consider at this point in time.

I will also consider interstate (as it's not out of the question).

Thank you in advance.

What are you're outside-of-work interests? Eg: surfing, fishing, golf, food, wine, cycling, …

  • Ballarat. Extremely peaceful, yet with all the mod cons.

Honestly Bali will probably be cheaper than a holiday in Aus, particularly if you plan on going for 2 weeks.

    • Yes. Nusa Lembongan recommended.

  • Head north to a nice sunny place….there are direct flights to Coffs Harbour…stay down in the 'jetty area' … nice walks, cafes, pub and hopefully sunshine :)

    Why not overseas??

If it was me I would he heading somewhere in Asia, should be able to get a good last minute package deal somewhere

  • If your definition of relaxing can include hiking / camping then come to Sydney and do the Great North Walk to Newcastle.
