$15 postage for non-plus members. Clearly bundling some of the cost into the postage.
The cost of handling, packing, and processing to send the item. What's wrong with that?
Ever wonder why your phone responds faster than your computer?
Nope, my computer is not a potato.
Also $35 at Computer Alliance
$33.95 with code PICKLE. Even better - need eBay plus to take advantage of free delivery though.
I realize that the MX500 is a better performer, but would the BX500 still be a remarkable upgrade to a HDD in an older laptop?
Cheers
Yes.
Any ssd will be an improvement over a hdd, only by how much.
Insignificant difference between these two and the upgrade from the sluggish laptop HDD the ssd
Can you use these as a cheap/small portable hard drive?
sure
just buy a usb3 case for under $10
Yep, I have one for the wife for her handbag that she keeps dropping. I also have one as a small portable drive between work and home
Yet to find an enclosure that works properly like a portable SSD such as Samsung T5.
I bought a cheapo enclosure from MSY, and it has a 250GB Samsung 850 Evo…works perfectly fine
What doesn't work?
Orico cases are good.
So… why does it say it's permanently closed on Google Maps? (from the link, it says you can still deliver to this place?)

Why would you want to deliver to the store?
I searched "umart" and clicked on the only one in Mt Waverly ("Umart Online Mt Waverly"). It says it's permanently closed (is this the right one?)
Why would you want to deliver to the store?
Haha sorry I meant I can set it as my store from the OzBargain link. This would be an issue if it's actually permanently closed.
If anyone's looking at this, it's because there's a renovation.
same price at Amazon + cashback
I'm very frustrated that I need to spend more to get frustration-free packaging

MX500 seems has 2 times better transfer rates than BX500.

The MX has DRAM (memory) cache - kind of like a normal hard drive would have. The BX is dramless - cuts costs, but can really affect performance.
