  • These are kinda crap, I have the blue one. It's unused.

    • What blue one?

They made three of them: Zelda, Mario and Pokemon themed.

      The d-pad feels like a real d-pad.

  • Also noted that there is a little bump at the back of this controller.
If you are using cases/grips for your switch, it might not fit.

    • +2

Yep, stopped my skull n co grip case fitting.

    • I bought a generic el-cheapo grip dust jacket for it and it fits fine. Its shape is the same as an original joycon. The only difference is the "button" below the triggers for releasing it from the rails.

  • What games would these even be ideal for? Maybe Tetris 99?

    • Haha, better than the Pro for that game but then again pretty much anything is.

      • I think it's just luck of the draw, my Pro controller Dpad works fine for Tetris

      • is the Pro's d-pad bad? Was thinking about getting one for docked mode.

        • If you've already got an Xbox controller or a PS4 controller just get a converter for them as there are a few options available that are flawless.

(Brooks for Xbox and 8bitdo for PS4 off the top of my head)

I bought a Splatoon special edition Pro controller and it literally doesn't get used at all. I have it to my kids and they both come take my Xbox controller rather than use it.

    • Mostly 2D and fighting games as well.
Hollow Knights, Dead Cells and such

    • Lots of things. 2D fighters, SNES games, Mario maker etc

  • Got one

  • -1

I still can't aim properly using Joycons, fun times.

  • I have one of these. The Zelda one. I consider it essential if you play 2D games.

It's a shame it only works in handheld mode.
