These are pretty darn good! And so much fun to open. For anyone that's ever wanted to deploy one of those self-inflating rubber dinghies… get yourself a mattress in a box. Thank me later.

    • have you tried it? I see others have latex top and also repel dust mites and such, which i though would be better.

      • which ones have latex?

      • My wife bought a King-size double for us and a double for my oldest son. Estelle brand from Aldi, but I am not sure if they are the same as these ones.
Whatever it was that Aldi were selling
a few months ago. They are really comfortable.

FWIW I'd rate Zzz Atelier beds as better value….We've recently fitted out our spare bedrooms with a double and a queen from Aldi and 2 queens from Atelier.

In my opinion, the difference in quality is quite noticeable… Aldi's are not as thick or as well sprung as Atelier's… Aldi's tend to sit lower to the ground and I've noticed the sides tend to offer little support, particularly when sitting on them.

Don't get me wrong, they're both reasonably comfortable for the price but, side by side, Atelier's appear sturdier and more luxurious.

But hey, each to their own..

Good call. Yes the side support on the Aldi mattress is not as good as our previous Slumber King mattress, but we do find it very good for our sore backs, so we are happy.

These Ateliers sound good, too. Cheers.

      • Is the Atelier mattress more firm then Aldi mattress?

      • The zzzaletier are good. The only issue I had is that it's really high. Too high for my kids bed so I'll be picking up an aldi one.

      • Haha - zing!

  • I dated someone named 'Estelle' once. It didn't end well.

      Sounds like Est-HELL? Lol

  • Being rolled in a box means they have no edge support, but single size for kids are excellent.
