House Landlord Insurance - 15 Months for The Price of 12 Months @ Terri Scheer Insurance

290

Noticed this promo - as per title.
If you have a current landlord policy with them, could "cancel" the current policy and renew it straight away for a further 15 months (discounted).
I assume you will be able to use the credit (for the refunded time remaining) as part payment and pay the difference (do your own due diligence).

BTW: This is Landlord Insurance - not Building Insurance.

EDIT: Check prices against others like CGU, AAMI, EBM, Honan (but compare what events each covers)

I work in Real Estate and I have found over the years that EBM and Honan insurance claim results to be better.

Thanks for adding in other companies to compare with, is there any particular reasons apart from claim results?

      • Ease of processing, I've also found EBM to be great

  • i found them to be quite expensive, like $2-$300 more expensive, compared to other quotes with providers like CGU, AAMI.. are they really THAT much better?

    • Yeah did many online quotes with Terri over the years and always $200-$300 more than any one else

    • What sort of quotes are you talking about? My landlord insurance through them is $324 a year, hard for someone else to be $200`300 cheaper…

But I did find they were highly recommended by average users at least 5 years ago.

    • Worth reading the PDS by the providers and the coverages. The old saying you get what you pay for still applies to insurance coverage.

  • @Bargainaholic & @supasaiyan – thanks for the suggestions – updated OP.

  • Australia landlord insurance is another good one. This one is expensive by $300 .

  • Just rang and managed to get a refund on my existing policy and took up the new offer for the 15 months.

My partner used to work in Property Management and recommended Terri.

Haven't had to make a claim, but as my policy only comes to about $400, not sure how a competitor would be $2-300 cheaper.

    Thanks for the deal OP.

  • Is this offer only for properties with property managers? I self-manage and was told that the offer does not apply?
