Any deals on A129? I've got one of these, and while the image quality is pretty good, there have been a few hiccups, mostly around the GPS pins etc.

My GPS pins stuffed up even though I am very careful on the odd occasions when removing the unit from the base. My newer model was supposed to have solved the pin problem but it didn't. Now I have my power going into the camera unit, instead of the base, which means no GPS. No biggie, but annoying. I must admit that the image quality is very good for the price though.

      • Does the A129 suffer from this problem too?

      • Same here

      • @Rusty I'm pretty sure I got mine plugged directly in the camera and it's still picking up the GPS.

I'll have to confirm but I'm 99% sure that's the case.

      • I had this same issue a couple of weeks ago - I contacted Viofo support directly via their website and they have sent a replacement GPS unit in the post.

  • Mediocre price especially considering it's not even a V2.

    • Pretty sure only the A119 come in V2, A119s
      don't have V2

$12.50 discount from your website showing $125 (not $148 historical price?)

  • Site shows 10% off for all dash cams using sale10.

  • Question for the users of Dash cams : Do you guys take it off after a trip or leave it in the car while parked outside or at any parking ?

Reason why I asked this is due to a recent incident at a train station where around 20 cars were smashed open from side to steal dash cams and whatever was left in a car.

    • I leave it there, you see them on so many cars these days that it's normal.

If they were smashing 20 cars at the station, they were probably there to steal other things and dashcams were just a bonus. I doubt they would've targeted them specifically because they had a dashcam.

I remember the same things happened when portable satnavs first appeared, a few of the larger Westfield malls had signs reminding people to even wipe off the suction cup marks before entering the mall after hiding the unit. Opportunistic thieves will always be around, have been since time began. Judge the risk as appropriate for the location. Mostly works out fine. And yes I leave mine on and it's top line Blackvue but to most they wouldn't tell one from another.

  • Hi Op. do you sell cable of this unit separately?

    • Yes, we do. Take a look at our web site, we sell all accessories for Viofo Dash Cams.

Ordered one of these 8 days ago (26th June). Status of my order is still just saying "confirmed". Very misleading advertising considering when you are on the order page it says "Order within the next xxx hours to have your order ship tomorrow". What a joke.
