Share the crowd over the long weekend, for discounts on ….. what again? Do I have to cruise through all the aisles to find it out of stock, when I want to pick it up from the pickup-zone.

anyway, without knowing what items are on sale and how much they are reduced, i don't know whether i should bother going, or just stay home and have a cold beer from getwinesdirect…
Going to IKEA in Richmond is such an ordeal. Between the parking, the store, the trek, the checkouts, back to the parking, ugh. It just takes too damn long. No bargain is worth that to me LOL.
Here's an alternative way to shop Ikea:
- start at the exit bistro. Pick up a soft sere cone (optional, but highly recommended).
- enter via the exit and head to the pickup-zone computers.
- browse for what you want and check stock
- go pick it up.

Just came back from Perth IKEA (pre-planned trip, not prompted by this post), and as it says on that website there are a lot more specials in store. The few that I took note of were generally limited to a single colour of the particular product. Grabbed a couple of the tall DVD shelves (Benno?) for $39 each in red only, luckily matches the missus' colour scheme.
unless you can list some of the items and their savings, this belongs in the forums as it's just an advertisment…
