Surface Go LTE $898.00 + $230.00 JB Gift Card, when Add a 12 Month 4G Telstra Data Plan (for $19/month) @ JB HI-Fi

160

This offer looks interesting, it's like getting internet free for one year or getting a 230.00 discount on the Surface

According to the picture, the user should buy the Surface Go (sku 353878) for 898.00 and add the Telstra plan, to receive the 230.00 gift card.

The Telstra plan is $19.00 per month for 10GB.

Then internet plan, also includes Telstra peace of mind, what means that you are not over charged if you go over the plan, but the speed goes down to 1.5 Mbps.

I saw the offer in the Hornsby's JB store, but I can't find any reference online.

This description from Neil should clarify any doubt:
-Buy a Surface Go with or without a plan for $898(jbhifi.com.au).
-If you buy the above, you can add a 12 month plan from $19 per month, totaling $228 over 12 months. You will receive a $230 JB Hi-Fi Gift Card.

    This is hurting my brain.
OP, is it $898 cost of device + $228 12 month plan or is the 12 month plan included in $898?

a 30-day trial that includes 30GB of free data to use in Australia. Once the trial period or data has expired, customers will be able to choose a variety of prepaid or post-paid offers from our range of plans.

It’s esim, so you can always start a new trial

  • I am more interested in the 10GB/$19 plan with peace of mind data without the tablet :p

    • Tbh this sounds like JB can hook you up with that 10gb/$19 plan and give you that $230 voucher without any purchasing.

I bet it's done similarly to their phone deal - no device is listed in the Telstra contract that you sign, and the phone/tablet is simply an outright purchase.

Can someone who has signed up to this check their paperwork?

      • yes, along with large fries!

    • Agree that it is attractive. We joke about peace of mind data being so slow but the fact is we could just download Netflix etc all day and then watch it later. I suspect in ordinary use the speed cap would probably not be too bothersome as a lot of times it's the latency rather than bandwidth that determines your browsing experience

  • Do you know if it comes with a keyboard cover?

      It looks like no.

According to the Jb website "Surface Signature Type Cover and Surface Pen sold separately"
