@Sonca: The seller would have a simply provided the label number for the shipping label generated for the product. Doesn't mean it's physically in AusPost's possession.
@Sonca: Even you get the shopping confirmation email that doesn’t means your item is physical picked up from the seller.
I got confirmation email 10days ago and no update which means post did not picked up yet.
Anyway I sent email to Post as well to check all possible issues.

I can't speak for the Dyson, but I have a Parlux, not as expensive as the Dyson but which still hover around the $200-ish mark. It is MILES better than other cheap hairdryers that I've had (and which have died). It dries faster and leaves your hair feeling better, and it feels like a quality product that won't fail within 6 months. I've played with the Dyson in the shops and I get the same impression from it.
If I didn't already have the Parlux I would be seriously considering the Dyson at this price.
No there isn't.
They have a different design that allows then to use a smaller motor which means they have a different layout.
Instead of the fan pushing the air through like a normal hairdryer the small amount of air moved by the Dyson fan sucks in extra air to create more airflow.
In the end, I didn’t quite experience anything more than my $19 Target dryer offered.

normal dryers really damage the hair and takes about half an hour to 40 mins to dry thick shoulder length hair. The dyson doesn't get as hot and is more powerful which in turn dries hair within 10 mins

That's a different colour combo and yes it matters to some people. The comb and brush are an extra bonus and quite well made.

FYI I bought this off the Shaver Shop eBay store last year, when it also came with the free stand (via redemption). I made sure to email them to confirm that it was still eligible for the free stand and I would get a normal tax receipt showing GST etc. They confirmed it, I got the tax receipt, and thus I got the dryer (discounted) and the stand no problems (I don't recall it taking long at all). Got it for my now wife, and I find myself using it too.
As for the device itself, from my limited hair dryer experience, this thing doesn't get as hot as normal hair dryers - but it is way more powerful. Both the wife and I have noticed it dries hair noticeably faster than a normal hair dryer, making for a quieter morning as well as a more efficient one!
The only caveat is the stand does need a fair bit of room to sit on ie it has a big footprint, and we have a rather small bathroom. Otherwise, it works great (magnetic - so easy on and off) and certainly beats dumping the dryer flat on the cabinet.
How long did it take to get shipped?
I bought the same thing from the 20% Good Guys deal last weekend for $399. Picked up and also redeemed the bonus stand. Received bonus stand and using it too. For $24 more than this deal, I'm not doing too bad given this seller isn't even shipping old orders.
EDIT: Bonus stand redemption was very straight forward on the Dyson website. Just serial number and copy (screenshot) of invoice needed.

Why is that a bad thing to anyone other than the local distributor?
Would be good to know in advance if:
- You'll be needing an adaptor
- Warranty issued in a different country
- Instructions and packaging in a different language

Highly unlikely for a grey import to be eligible for dyson promotion in Australia. On dyson website serial no and invoice are required. So this should be AU stock. This is my opinion though
My order arrived today from this sale. Comes boxed with the brush/ and comb and I've just sent off the claim for redemption. Serial reads as AU stock.
