I'm guessing the OP meant to say Bluetooth 4.0?
…and food
..and time, and lot of time!
And friends to eat with you :(
I'm still on the fence with this. Do I get this underpowered device with Bluetooth/wifi or something like the Westinghouse one with more power (1200w) but no remote connectivity.
Yes.
Thanks for the detailed and informative response
Get this one, its not under powered
Seems a bit expensive for something that boils water. Worth about $50-80
something that boils water costs $7.50
The point is to not boil the water
It doesn't boil water, it maintains water to a +/- .1 degree accuracy. for example, so you don't over cook meats.
But you go right ahead and boil your steak? haha
if you're boiling water, you're doing it wrong
Cheers op I've been holding out for this sale. Probably the most popular sous vide machine with great reviews.
Thanks OP, I have been eyeing this for a while.
Is there an OZBargain approved vacuum sealer?
Just wait for the Aldi ones. Then wait another 4 weeks and get the sealer and bags for half price.
always seem to be stocking up on Aldi bags haha
Lots of people swear by the Aldi ones. Personally, mine got progressively worse over the months after I bought it. I had it long enough to know I needed one, so I forked out for a decent Sunbeam one which is years old now after returning the Aldi model.
I understand some things could be better vacuum sealed but I've used the immersion method and it's worked great
Anyone have tips on how to build a frankencooler using parts from Bunnings. I’m following this guide https://youtu.be/lQSaMOK3EQ0
I thought the Bunnings 50mm PVC coupler was close enough to the 2 inch coupler in the video. The 50mm PVC coupler is too small, and doesn’t fit.
Thanks OP. Been waiting for this one to go on sale. Next is to find the vacuum bag sealer
Does anyone have problems with their Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker (2nd Gen) Wi-Fi? Mine arrived last week and when I tried to start it, it just made this long beep and the unit wouldn't start heating/circulating. The error message that came up on my phone said it needed more water so I topped it up even more (it was initially in the halfway min/max point). Anova support sent out a replacement which arrived today, and guess what, same thing!
What water are you using? Only thing I can think of is lack of mineral content in the water. This can happen with RO water for example
Just tap water.
I’m completely baffled. Two lemons. What are the chances?
Why is it 4.0 if it's 2nd Gen?
PS: you also need water and a power point :)
