Not a problem for me as it's not an every day tool.
New model is brushless but is over twice the price.
Still a fantastic price for a tool that doesn't get much use but still very handy to have. Grabbed one, especially with free shipping. I've got slide tools from 7-8 years ago not brushless that great still. Drills, impact drivers, heavily used gear definitely brushless.
Brushed maybe better for finer speed control for jigsaw? Runtime probably not a massive issue for this type of tool.
Pro-tip: Bunnings removed this model from their website but you may find some stores with floor stock that you can price beat.

thats $40 bux off and good bit of kit… i grabbed one friday and gave it a workout on weekend on my trailer and it was very good..

Thanks, great deal - most others still selling for $320 which makes this a real bargain (even if it is discontinued). It's still in DeWALT's catalogue on their website.
