anyone was able to receive first home buyer grant as an owner builder? I was told that if you building as owner builder your property market value should be less than 750k (home&land) and this needs to be checked by property valuer.
My total cost was around 600k including land and home on the house but obviously, the market value for the house is above 750k in Marsden Park Sydney, any ideas? Any way to get that grant?

I got land in 2013 for 240k when there was nothing in that area and spent around 360k to built single story, i could even make it more cheaper, if you doing owner builder it's really cheap as long as you are able to deal with tradies.

As you alluded to, you need to provide evidence of the value of the house as at completion of construction. If it is/was worth more than $750k at that point, you are not entitled to the grant.
Unless you are wanting tips on how to commit fraud, there is not much anyone can help you with.

Surely the grant is based on the actual price paid, not the market value?
I belive that is if you go through a Builder in my case it was owner Builder.
i know this is irrelevant but builder's margin is like 15% of the trades? which is still below 750k
So did you already build via owner builder? I'm interested in doing this myself.
I did my self you can get owner builder license in 10min it's online test you have to do.
Can you actually build it yourself or do you need to hire someone?
Well you have to hire tradies for certificates and stuff but where no certificate required you can do your self save money.
With numbers like that forget the grant and go into property development
