Just seen JB have Civilization VI available on the Switch for $59 which is cheaper than the eShop special at the moment and anywhere else I can find. Might finally pick up a copy!

No. They are both strategy games so can kind of be compared but AoE is a real time strategy game while Civ 6 is a 4x turn based game
I think the answer to the question is this a bit like age of empires would be yes.

Nintendo. If it’s priced at what you would expect the basic retail price for any other platform is then odds are it’s a bargain.

Reading on the internet, sales for this game on Switch exceeded expectations, and the DLC is in the works.
