Big fan of these guys, Australian owned business and their frames are made from recycled materials. A standard set of frames + lenses start from $59. Extra cost is purely if you are extra blind like myself and need thinner lenses to offset how thick standard lenses would be with higher prescriptions.
They only make one style of modular frame in different sizes, so on the off chance you lose an arm, or snap the frame from sitting on it, you can just replace one part and not worry that the model isn't available anymore.
So they use up more energy than they would using raw materials?
