kudos danilochan for always price-matching the competitors. Now only if you stocked the Kodak EasyShare V570. :)
Or if you want to save the extra $1 on shipping, you can head to Harvey Norman (maybe VIC only) to get a verbatim 4GB USB for $19.95, or 2GB for $14.95.~ max. 3 per customer~
review via Amazon
"It's been several years since I've used a drive this slow—3 to 4 times slower than retractable drives by Sandisk and Transcend or Kingston's non-retractable DataTraveler and DT1 series. On the other hand, the Kingston 110 has proven to be a rugged drive—it stays on your key chain, and the USB connector stays anchored when in locked position (a problem with Transcend retractables). A slight drawback of the stubby design of the 110 is that its width could prevent it from gaining access to closely crowded USB ports."
I think it's a case of you-get-what-you-paid-for. Comparing a Kingston $20 4GB USB Drive to Sandisk's or Transcend's is like comparing apples to oranges. Not to mention some individual's review on Amazon may not be the best source of authority.
Thanks for finding more information about this deal though, antman.

Kingston made a high quality ram.. so I am not sure why these flash disk is quite an underperformer
I don't actually know what its reputation is but surely you can't compare a $20 USB drive to say a $40 or $50 one.
I wouldn't use price as an indication to the quality/performance of the flash drives. Some shops can sell the same flash drive for 2 to 3 times the price, and you still get the same product.
For example, see http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=4GB+Kingsto…. PCMarket sells the same exact drive for > $60!
Good offer - now can somebody do a good deal on a 16gb flash drive??
I've read similar reports of this model being slow. And being fat AND slow is not so great. The Hardley Normal one looks better, however. Besides lots of computer shops might have better deals. Have a look here -

Clive Peeters has these for $21.90 until June 30th, if you would prefer to pay the extra 95 cents to get it from a store that is.
