For the Mi band, what's different from its Chinese version?

    Possible to use Google pay?

    • +1

Unfortunately I don't think so. This is the non-NFC version I think. And last year they had the Mi Band 3 with NFC that was only working for Chinese payments.

I doubt they would do a global release and support for Aussie payments via NFC.

Cheers, this would be perfect if we could somehow use it for credit card payments…

  • Mircowear is interesting - Most accurate monitoring
Optical pulse monitor to measure the Heart rate, Blood pressure, Blood oxygen, ECG.
But damn it's an ugly watch.

    • Good luck with the blood pressure monitoring - with a band that can't actually sense pressure.

Pretty unfair pricing IMO because Xiaomi launched an RRP Of 169 Chinese yuan which is about $37

    • That's for the basic Chinese version.

The global one is officially going for €35 ($57 aud) in Spain.

      • They would be the same device…

          There are 3 versions.

Basic Chinese (no NFC, no AI assistant, Chinese only manual and maybe Chinese only software?)
Global Version (same as Basic Chinese but with multlanguage support)
Chinese version with NFC + AI assistant

      • global version is a rip off consider it is the same hardware as chinese version
all that change was english/software support.

From what I read the chinese version was only like 20 to 25 dollars (NFC version)

I think in the miband3 when the chinese version was the only one available
you flash a english fw on it.

Anyone have any experience with them bluedios?

    • I don't see them anywhere else on the interwebs….

Bluedio recently received bad press from a few YouTube reviewers for unprofessional response:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZZ3d44mQMI

    • Just went to YouTube to check this bludio. Turns out it has connectivity issues to many (only 1 side is connected), also low volume…

      • did you find these particular earphones? I could only see something called the Bluedio T-Elf, which is not these

  • Pretty keen on the Mi Band. What is the shipping time like?

  • Mi band 4 or Amazfit Bip??? Can’t decide….. Mostly interested in time, steps & heart rate. Anyone’s 2 cents?

    • the both can do that..

      • Would you regard the quality/expected longevity of the Bip as being greater? Enjoyed my band2 until the OLED failed.

  • The price is wrong!!!
if you select Australia and AUD, the price will change to A$116.13 plus A$6.33 shipping. No (profanity) way.

    • Hi,

      Please try the coupon.

      Regards

  • Bluedo even cheaper on ebay so no deal here
