Got mine from last deal and really have to force all 3 into the port. Both tablet and phone are the same and I have stopped using them because it feels like I am going to damage the connection if I keep using them.
I bought a micro usb cable recently from them which is having the exact same problem.
I found mine were slightly tight but loosened up quite quickly after a little use. I have found most usb-c cables to be like this though.

I ordered two. Just got them today. They would not fast charge on my Pixel 2XL. My older Blitzwolf cable which is braided and longer will fast charge this same phone.
Update: It WILL fast charge on a Redmi Note 7.
