Great price, have this combo and works well with the 4ah battery.

    • a single 4ah battery won't be enough for the blower for many people…

      i use a 5ah battery and get < 10 mins.

      • Thats nuts, I have the Ozito standard power exchange blower and get 20 minutes easily oout if a 2Ah. It aint the most powerful blower but does the job.

        • +1

The Ryobi one is very powerful…

          • @jv: The next one up in the Ozito is the Jet blower, but that requires dual 18V batteries. I defintely don't need that to blow grass clippings around.

            • @Jackson:

I defintely don't need that to blow grass clippings around.

I was using it blow wet leaves today… It was effortless…

      • I have this blower for small jobs and regularly use a Ryobi petrol for for my 600sqm block with 7 gum trees

        • +1

What size batteries do the gum trees take?

        • +1

7 gumtrees on 600sqm?? That must be a nightmare is there a house too?

Nice to see another OzBargainer here in Dev 👍

:) Yes. Give Harvey's is about the only game in town for anything electronic, important to be an ozbargainer!

    • You two should get together at Molly's ;)

    • Wait… There's 3 of us now! Cyber High 5!

    • We didn't come here to take part, we came here to take over!

      • Who would’ve thought :)

          Another Devonport fella here haha.
I nabbed a couple of those 4ah Ozito batteries cheap the other day so I'm committed to that ecosystem now.

  • it shows $199 when you click on the link

    • Yes - instore special. You will see them at the front of the store labelled at $139.00

  • Still waiting for the Ozito mower to go on sale!

  • That's a great price. I paid $99 for the Blower and battery kit a couple of years ago, so $4 extra for the trimmer skin is good value.

    • +2

That came with a 5Ah battery if i am not mistaken

      • Ah, yes. You're right.

  • Son of a bitch! I just paid $230 for this kit 2 weeks ago.
Edit: Oop, never mind, that was the hedge trimmer/blower combo.

      Marketing ?

      • Marketing for one bunnings only? No chance

          No chance

So you think they don't want to sell them?

  • The design of the line trimmer sucks. Your thumb needs to hold onto the safety button and while another finger on the trigger. Cramps my hand after a few minutes and I'll stop and restart. Each time you stop and restart, it'll pull a bit of string out and call it a 'feature'.

The blower is pretty weak imo so I just broom my driveway instead.

If i were to buy another ryobi line trimmer, I'll get the brushless version because it has a better trigger.

I would get this kit as a starter for the battery.

    • In reading some reviews and speaki g to people they report the opposite problem with the feed, that they need to turn it upside down and manually extend the line. I know that there are a number of models, so assuming it's a different one.

Sounds lime your blower might also be different to JV's, who reckons he gets 10min for a 5Ah battery. How long do you get?

      • I don't know about other models but mine definitely pulls string out at start up. You can tell because the string hits a plastic blade when it starts up to trim the line.

I've never used a whole battery on the blower so I don't know.

        • How long have you used the blower in a session and what is the capacity of your battery?

          • @Jackson: Probably about 5 minutes. 4Ah. Plenty of charge left

    • You only need to hold the trigger once it's going.

If you have buffalo type grass go for something much stronger. You can use slightly thicker cord, however it tangles in the spool too easily.

      • Any recommendation, please?

I have the 82v Victa line trimmer with 2Ah battery kit (plus the 82v Mower as well). The trimmer is a beast. A bit on the heavy side but cuts through really tough grass like buffalo like butter.
