pity that it is single sim

    • +1

      Exactly

  • +1

Isn't this cheaper than EPP? Great price.

    • I thought it was a bit higher by a few bucks but I may be wrong : D

  • +1

    OW is oos again:(

    • Did you call up already that was fast.. just use shopback works out the same, just need to wait for delivery instead of instant pickup.

  • +6

This is my daily driver and its awesome little phone with 5.8" screen which is large enough.

I prefer this one to S10, easier to hold etc. You get a lot of phone for a small price.

      • +2

S10e is nearly the same phone with s10, but s10e is much cheaper.

There are only small differences except the shape and the screen.

      • What apps makes it slow and laggy?

      • Mate, it's a flagship phone with the latest and greatest specifications. It's definitely whatever crap your wife has on her phone.

          • +1

@nikoris: alright buddy, install the same crap as your wife. See if it does anything.

          • +10

@nikoris: nikoris prides himself on having far, far more crappy apps installed on his phone than his wife.

          • +4

@nikoris: Does your wife complain about her S10 as much as you complain about her S10? And if it’s a fraction as bad as what you’re making out, why don’t you sell it and buy her a different phone? Used S10’s go for about $800, so you could easily buy her one your fabulous OnePlus phones and not be out of pocket? Why don’t you do that? Think of how much less complaining you would have to do on Ozbargain and Whirlpool.

@aja12: Do you have like notifications that inform you when i post?
              Really, get a life dude.

I wish more people were like me, then we wouldnt ahve those sorry-ass Galaxies and Pixels.

It's 2019 and Samsung Still stutters, they still have crappy fingerprint readers, they still have the most overrated cameras, they still have crappy battery life.

              Meh

              • +4

@nikoris: Simple question, mate. If your wife’s S10 is as bad as you say, why doesn’t your wife sell it now while they’re worth about $800 and buy a phone she’ll be happy with? Seriously, why not?

I wish more people were like me

This says a lot about your personality.

              • +3

@nikoris: Pls don’t stop. Keep it going. I just started enjoying it…

              • @nikoris:

It's 2019 and Samsung Still stutters, they still have crappy fingerprint readers, they still have the most overrated cameras

                That's funny because you said

P30 makes the best pic, but S10 isnt way behind
                https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/thread/3ln17m43?ux=790421

So is it overrated or not far behind?

                    • @aja12: Bro, you try too hard. Way too hard.
Why would someone sell a brand new phone that isn't what it's supposed to be?

It's usable ,just not to the level you'd expect for a 1100$ phone.

Did you get it, or do i have to write it in a different way?

                      • @nikoris: On a different note you can return it if not happy https://www.samsung.com/au/estore/static/link_mindpolicy_p/

Also consumer laws can protect you beyond the duration of such policies sometimes, if you can be bothered.

                      • +3

@nikoris: If I was so infuriated by something that it drove me to bitch and complain incessantly on various Internet forums for months on end, I would look for the simplest solution to the problem. Which in your wifes case (I appreciate the fact that you do all her internet whinging and bitching for her), would be selling the phone while it still has a high market value, recover the majority the initial outlay, and buy a different phone. Depending on which phone, the financial cost would be minimal to nil. Such a simple solution to your problem. But you think it makes more sense to hang onto it for longer and continue to be frustrated by while it rapidly depreciates in value? Is it possible that your wife is completely happy with the phone?

                        • @aja12: What other forums has this occured on… This is the first I've seen tbh

                          • +1

@crunchynuts: That I know of, Whirlpool. I've got no doubt he'd be on other forums too. Complains non-stop about the S10 and Pixel 3a.

                            • @aja12: You should hear my opinion about iphones mate

                            • @aja12: There is some good stuff there

meh first I think I do is turn off animations. Phones feels so much faster.
                              whrl.pl/RfkyTa

                              and then

People turn off the animations to make the phone faster? 0_o

I guess i used to do that back in 2011-2012 when even flagships had terrible lag and stutter, but nowadays it just seems so…… nerdy.

But yes, it makes sense that someone who turns off animations to launch apps 0.2s faster wouldn't want the extra options.

      • What did she have before?

      • My wife has an s10 and I regret ever buying a Samsung phone.

        Why?
        She seems to like it

My wife got the s10 after 6 years with apple and immediately loved edge panel and the fact that she can launch apps in that way.

Ohh, because there are some useful features, that means that it's the best phone ever and can't criticize it. Got it.

          Can't argue with that logic.

          • @nikoris:

            can't criticize it. Got it.

You can. If you had something to base that on.

You don't use the phone and the person who does loves it.

            Your opinion that

            Samsungs are TRASH

Is not criticising, it is ruling it our altogether.

    • +1

It's a godsend in the sea of oversize phones

  • +1

Good for price matching, which I think is why OP posted, but for anyone that doesn’t already know, these are grey stock sold by “Tech Crazy”, a very small seller with not much feedback. Use if for the price match if you can, but there’s cheaper grey options available.

$876 for regular s10 using healthcare partner portal.

    • +2

      What's the healthcare partner portal?

    Still coming down in price

  • That $799+ $5 Delivery. (Not eligible for Prime)

I got this phone from the JB deal

    • $199 up front
    • 12 month contract
    • 60gb data p/month
    • $49.00 p/month

Made it essentially a $787.00 phone with a free 60gb/unlimited calls for 12 months - deal

This phone has been amazing. So happy with basically everything it does and love the slightly smaller form factor.

    • Crazy good..which jb and was that today?

      • +1

Sounds similar to this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/454635 YRMV

        • +2

Yep - that's exactly where I got the phone from.
The deal is unbelievable value and the phone is hands down the best phone I've ever owned. Things I love:

          • Flat screen (OMFG yes)
          • Fingerprint reader on side power button - works super fast
          • Stereo front speakers - second one is built into the earspeaker at the top
          • Small form factor - I have gone back to the days where I almost don't notice my phone in my pocket again!
          • One UI - this has made up for every previous version I had to install third party apps for. It's THAT good. Stock is now amazingly good
          • Wide view camera is awesome, no need to back up to fit stuff into the picture anymore - period
          • 6gb ram… I have not experienced stutter AT ALL. The word butter comes to mind

I thought I would miss a bigger screen for media, but I don't.
Zero regret purchase (besides the amazing deal I got for it). You won't look back…

          • @Arcticfox: How's battery mate? I currently use the S10+ and I'm not finding it that amazing but it is still good.

            • @TwentyTwoCarats: I am not a heavy user on a normal work day, but I will check every notification I see when it pops up (emails, sms etc etc). Will sometimes do some browsing on flipboard over lunch and maybe about an hour on Spotify when the need arises. Morning and late arvo commute home will be about 20 minutes of Spotify each way.

At home I'll do some light browsing when the family have taken over the TV or read ebooks on it.

All that will usually leave me at about 50% left when I drop it on the wireless charger before bed. That is more than enough to suit my needs and is not bad in my book at all.

              • @Arcticfox: Nice! I've found my weekday experience to be quite similar to yours as well, since I'm 9-5 Monday to Friday. I go to bed with 40%. My negative experiences have been on weekends when I travel somewhere interstate and have a touristy day where I'm constantly on 4G, taking lots of pictures, navigating, etc.

Coming soon, just having lunch across, phone in car. There's only 1 more black one according to the staff. They're pretty easy going there, so better head there quick.

        • How's the performance out of curiosity..

          • +1

@crunchynuts: Haven't opened it, gonna claim TRS too next month. Just wondering if it can be opened and used when you're claiming? I presume you have to present with the box too?

      Receipt attached, good luck guys

      • +3

Thanks, mate! I got the last one at Cannington :)

In regards to your other post - yes, you can open. I'm going overseas next month. You just have to bring the invoice as proof and the phone itself.

        Thanks again!

        • +1

Alright, good to know. I can ditch my S7 edge now I guess :)

      • Good stuff, well done.

  • +1

This is really the best value phone IMO, the price is amazing when you compare it to the competitors. $1199 for pixel 3/iphone XR is ridiculous

  • whats the cheapest snapdragon version on ebay?

  • +2

    +1 for flatscreen

    • AMEN to this!! THat's why I'd rather compromise and use S10E

  • Seller rating 77%.

  • +1

Excellent price! Best value in the market!

  • How does this compare to LG V40?
Im pretty tempted by the hifi DAC offered by the LG. Otherwise, the two seem quite similar - RAM, memory, battery wise, IP rating- all match?

    • Processor in the V40 is previous gen. Also being a phone from last year expect one less major Android version update.

  • Does ow pricematch just involve walking up and presenting the receipt to the cashier? Will they check this deal?

  • They'll usually call up the website and compare apples with apples.
If it includes delivery charges etc

    • Does it need to be the same colour also to get the price match?

      • Usually, yes.
        Has to be same product.
